This anchor is designed for use in Concrete, Block, and Brick.EnvironmentThe anchor is designed for use in a Dry environment.Head Style The anchor is a Flat Countersunk Phillips head and is designed to prevent the head from protruding above the surface of the item being attached.Hole Diameter/Bit DiameterThe anchor requires a 3/16" hole to be drilled in the base material (Concrete, Block, and Brick). The hole should be drilled with carbide tipped bit that meets ANSI standards and used in a hammer drill.Driver RequiredA #3 phillips bit is required for driving the anchor into the base material.Diameter of Anchor The diameter of the anchor is 1/4".Length Anchor The length of the anchor is 2-3/4"Thread LengthThe length of the threads on the anchor is 1-3/4" in length.Minimum EmbedmentThe minimum anchor embedment into the concrete is 1". Therefore, the anchor must be installed so that a minimum of 1" of the anchor is embedded into the concrete.Maximum Fixture ThicknessThe maximum fixture thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being fastened for a anchor is 1-1/4" to 1-3/4". I am in a process of finishing basement and one part is about attaching subfloor panels (dricore) to basement floor. Every other panel on the perimeter must be screwed in. I tried 3/16 screws of different manufacturer and they did not work at all. They kept breaking. Those work great, will go in and hold tight. However, the drill bit was a disaster. It lost the "spade" tip after drilling two holes. Actually, the 2nd hole was not even finished. I ended up buying some other one (almost 1/3 cost of the screws!!) and now the job is moving. So, if your screws gets stuck or go too tight, check the drilling bit.
