Although this is possibly not the obvious combination for a self-build PC, it ticks the right boxes for me personally as I like to just plug and play without messing around with settings, but also prefer to have a dedicated graphics card. Since it can't be overclocked the processor comes with Intel's Laminar RM1 cooler. It is the highest performance processor to do so and honestly they shouldn't have bothered. The cooler is inadequate for dissipating the heat produced when the CPU is running flat out. To benefit fully from the available processing power it should be paired with a more powerful after market cooler. Without the better cooler you will quickly experience significant thermal throttling. Installation is very easy. The LGA 1700 socket has a simple lever-operated clamp to hold the CPU in place. One corner of the CPU has a little triangle printed on it which needs to be matched up with a similar triangle on the motherboard - this ensures correct orientation. Performance is great, and although it won't compete with the i9-14900 I think the i7 offers better "bang for buck" while being more than adequate for the vast majority of use cases.
