Am currently using it in tandem with the original flap top. With practice this will work great for casual field excursions and even professionals operating in hostile environs.

Let's face it- flap holsters are slow and they suck for all purposes besides keeping crap out of your holster. The M12 is a sturdy, universal holster you can get surplus for $20. Add this snap and you turn a surplus relic into a bomb-proof, reasonably fast, awesome holster that works with everything from a Makarov to a Glock 34.

This was a great piece compared to the original fabric cover that came with the holster. This allows for a quicker draw and it holds the pistol in rather well. It doesn't bunch up like the fabric cover when the hammer is cocked back. The only problem I have found is that it's a pain trying to resnap it when you put your pistol back. But hey you're buying this for a quick darw.
