**Q: Will this fit a bostitch btmt72394?**
A: Im not 100% sure, but it has fit all of the different brands of that style of air hammers that ive got. Everyone that ive seen seems to have a universal thread on the barrel

**Q: Will it fit a cp717**
A: NO.
I have a CP717.  It takes the 0.498 shank. I use a CP 8001 (maybe it is CP80001), quick change on it ; which I am not finding online. 
This quick change you ask about is for the 0.401 diameter shank which, though more common, will not fit nor work with the CP717.

A: Correct Taiwan is an American ally while china is not.

**Q: I can't get this on my ir 121.  i've fought it hard, and it won't screw down.   i can't get it to thread on after removing the spring. ideas?**
A: I just installed it on an IR 121. It is tricky but after playing around I got it. Take the set screws out. Lube up the tool and the inside collar. Pit the gun in a bench vise. Put a bit into the collar to use as a centering guide. Push down as you turn the collar while also using the bit to make sure it's free moving. The collar will try and cook crooked as you tighten it so you have to work it as you tighten. Once you can't tighten by hand, use a rubber strap wrench and continue until all threads are not visible. Install set screws hand tight. Like I said, tricky but will go.
