Trailer Aid Camco Plus' Tandem Tire Changing Ramp with 5.5-Inch Lift, Black

Today was the first time to use this, and whilst it did it's job, the ramp snapped off! Not good, I'm sure you'll agree, whilst parked on the side of the M4, trying to change a tyre on a sheep trailer. It did the job of holding the trailer in place with no problem, however, it was frightening to see that the ramp had snapped. Will be contacting the seller to advise asap. I think it must have been a fault at manufacture, as I have not heard of this happening with any of my neighbours who also have Tailer Aids

I was looking for an easy jack solution for my tandem axle boat trailer and this fit the bill. I travel frequently to remote fishing locations where getting help on the side of the road for a flat tire would take forever if you can even get cell phone reception. Therefore, I need a good option to be able to change a tire or hub, or perform other emergency service easily and safely by myself. This has been the perfect solution. I opted for the plus version to make sure I had the necessary clearance on any terrain. I tested it out a few times when I got it on both concrete and in the grass. On the concrete it works great and provides more than enough clearance to remove either a flat tire or fully inflated tire. On the grass it also provides plenty of functional clearance but due to it sinking some into the soil it was less than when on the concrete. This is where the plus version comes in handy with the extra height. When pulling forward onto the ramp with the front tire of the trailer it is much easier to tell when you have reached the top of the lift and stop. The same cannot be said for backing up the ramp with the rear tire. I have over driven the top of the ramp a few times and had to start the process again. This is all while alone. With a partner to stand back and watch the process it would be much easier. So far it has held up to the use and looks to be solidly made. It also provides a stable lift platform due to its extra surface area compared to using a jack which can be more apt to tip over on uneven or soft surfaces.

Excellent product. I used it this past weekend to repack the bearings on all 4 wheels of my 26' travel trailer. Made the job easy. I will now carry this with me instead of a jack. This is much better and much safer to use than a jack.

I had to return it. I'm giving it a 5 star rating because the tool concept is a great idea and easy to use. I own a travel trailer Coleman 202RD and when I tested the ramp my tire was still touching the ground. The Coleman suspension has a high tire travel. It would have needed maybe a couple more inches.

Works great and stays still for backing onto it even grass. We found in the grass we needed to add two decking board peices stacked on top of each other plus the trailer aid to get the other tire off the ground in the grass, as the trailer aid not by its own fault sunk into the grass and needed just a bit of a boost to get the other tire off the ground. It holds the trailer nice and still while working and it felt very secure! HIGHLY RECOMMEND AS AN ESSENTIAL TRAILERING EQUIPMENT TO CARRY ON YOU!! Would have made it so much easier to change a tire when we had a tread issues several months ago never again! Don't leave home without it!

I was getting ready to grease my bearings on my 5th wheel camper and knew that I needed something to raise the tire that I was greasing off the ground. I knew that I should not use a jack under the axle to raise it. I knew that I had to raise it by putting a jack under the frame (which is quite high off the ground) or consider using something like this. I decided to go ahead and order this and give it a try. I had my wife watch as I pulled my trailer up onto it so I would not go too far on the tire changing ramp. She stopped me at the right place every time. I can tell you that I am EXTREMELY happy with this and would recommend it to anyone. Greasing my bearings went real smooth using this. I know now that if I have a flat it will go a lot easier using this versus using a hydraulic jack and several wood blocks to raise it by the frame.
