Test it out with the included 1:64 scale remote-control vehicle that can race and stunt on and off Hot Wheels tracks. The set inspires open-ended play, creativity, unlimited racing and wild stunting. Review: Rc hot wheels car 4/5. Rc car track: 5+/5 - We got this for our 3 and 5 year olds who already have a bunch of hot wheels stuff, including the standalone hot wheels rc car. I’m not a hw enthusiast but I am an RC enthusiast. Bottom line: strongly recommend esp if you already have other hw tracks. Since this set includes the rc car I’ll review the rc separately from the track. The rc car: pros are that it is super fast (enough to do any loop), easy and quick to recharge, durable (rare among toy grade rc cars), works with most hot wheels track sets, standalone price is super reasonable, enduring fun for kids. Cons are that it’s hard to control without sliding all over the place. The left and right buttons are also accelerators so they end up doing squiggles which are hard to predict or control. All in all, surprisingly good for the price. The RC track: all pros. Although you can use the rc hw with any hw track, it often flips out at turns bc it’s too fast. This set includes 6 banked 90 degree turn pieces which you can either combine or not, which gives you tons of track idea options. The banks are mild but what really holds in the car are the high edges. Does the rc hot wheel still flip out? Sure but not nearly as much as with the non rc track. You also get the pieces to do a small loop. The track works with regular (non rc) hot wheels and uses the same connection type, but you’d need to generate a lot of speed to get through all the curves and loop. This set is like the track builder series where there are suggested configurations, but you can basically do whatever you want. The kids have WAY more fun this way and it encourages creativity a lot more. Tldr: if you already have the rc hot wheels and want to make a lot better use of it, get this. If you don’t have the rc hot wheels, this is a much better way to get introduced to it than getting the standalone rc car.

I really like these little Hot Wheels RC cars and none of them have disappointed. They have Right and Left turning, Forward, Reverse and even a Boost! HOWEVER it should only be run on hard floors(wood, linoleum, etc.)seeing as they have rubber tires and are not designed to be AWD.

I don't have kids, I just love and collect hot wheels. When I was a kid the closest thing we had to this was x-v racers that you charge up from a battery pack and they just go straight until they run out of charge. This is much more interesting of a toy I think. This feels a lot like slot carts where you actually need to regulate your speed to stay on the track, but with a lot more fun to be had. This can run on hard floors allowing you to do donuts, j turns, drifting, etc. It gets dirty, but it is serviceable by removing the screws on the bottom. Very impressed with this toy, especially for the price.
