Just received this neat looking 24 colours set of Camlin Artist grade water colours. I have always been a fan of Camlin products, and find no logic in buying astronomically priced imported colours like Daniel Smith, Sennelier, White Nights, or Windsor and Newton. (Perhaps, one day I shall, when my budget allows!) Anyway, this set is value for money, and that conforms to the hallmark of all Camlin art products. The packaging is somewhat on the flimsy side, and the grooves made for the tubes are ill-fitting, so along the way, you will need to discard the thin cardboard box and think of an alternate way to store your tubes of paint. The colour range is quite good, and should satisfy the needs of most artists. Happy painting, everyone!

Best of all time watercolor valley for money product

Value for money. Much recommended for beginner and intermediate professional artists. Colours are vibrant yet transparent, not granulating, not chalky. The glazing effect is good. So much more to say about the characteristics. Can't comment about light fastness as of now.

These Watercolours are great. I have bought them more than ones.

The watercolor quality is very handy for beginners. The pigmentation is as one should expect from products of this range. It works well on a good gsm paper. Blending is smooth, and you can activate and work with your watercolor even after it has dried once on or off the paper. A good tip will be to squeeze out paint as less as possible from the tube. A few drops will go a long way.

This review is for the Kokuyo Camlin 24 set 5ml watercolor tubes. This is the third time I purchased this product. These watercolors are absolutely lovely and I am so pleased with the price point. The first time I purchased these watercolors I payed double the price. I have a lot of watercolor brands (student and professional) made in the US and abroad, and this is among my top favorites. They mix very well, do not get muddy and conforms to ASTM D 4236 and are Non-toxic. The Yellow Ochre and Raw Sienna are very close in color which was odd, and they do have a strong chemical smell when first pored from the tubes, which I can understand would turn a lot of people off. However in my opinion, these paints perform nicer dried in a palette and after several days, the smell does dissipate. The tubes in this set have a lightfast rating of A and B ( A-Absolutely Permanent, B-Permanent). I have read many reviews that have glowing remarks on their lightfastness. I personally have never did a lightfast test on this set. There is no pigment information on these watercolors. I believe that they have a total of 48 colors in their line, and offer larger 20ml sized tubes. I would be extremely interested in purchasing and trying more colors. I have not been able to find open stock anywhere. Maybe they will be offered on Amazon in the future. If you are looking for a very nice inexpensive watercolor and you are a beginner, student or professional, regardless of the smell, these are definitely worth it. They are very enjoyable to paint with.

Son preciosas y de una calidad excelente. Las conocí por vídeos de acuarelistas profesionales de India y la verdad es que me gusta mucho. Se han convertido en una de mis preferidas. La única pega es que que tienen un olor algo fuerte, aunque a mi no me molesta, y si las echas en godets para trabajar con ellas como pastillas, tardan bastante en secar (no llegan a secar del todo) y tienes que tener cuidado y tenerlas en horizontal bastante tiempo

Easy to use and lasts a long time.

I have been teaching myself how to paint in watercolor when I found this brand on YouTube. This Camel paint brand has a good color development for beginners and is well priced for the quality you get. I liked it so much I bought 12 additional colors from this company. If there is a downside, it's probably the somewhat pungent crayon smell you get when you first squeeze out the paint to mix it, but the quality more than makes up for it.
