This product is fantastic and is a great step up from the first iteration, whereas the Pro V in this case contains a stronger enzyme at a slightly lower ratio and additional B12 for sustainment, which can be a problem for some dogs, and for a while was a problem for mine. In my opinion, the steep price is actually a bargain, as this lasts about a month, sometimes longer, and the traditional EPI meds are far pricier. Every dog has different needs in terms of the food to enzyme ratio, so experimenting at first was a chore, but one thing I can say for certain is I have always had great success with better preparation. I start by fully mixing the enzymes in maybe a half cup of water with a whisk before adding the food, and then letting it sit for about 5-10 minutes. For those new to EPI, it really is not terrible to work into a morning/evening routine. After my 13 year old Dachshund dramatically started losing weighed 18 to 12 lbs in a month. no matter what he ate he could not gain weight his stool was yellow and undigested and he had a uncontrolable urge to eat his waste, ( mainly because he was starving and his waste was not digested. ) After the vet told me he was just old and he was just dying. Gaining more and more strength everyday. only side effects he had was stinky farts and frequent urination and accidents for the first couple weeks until his body got used to it. just reordered and will until his last days. This stuff really works guys. I use the small end of the scoop that comes with it. I put one scoop on a half can of soft food twice a day and let it set for 15 min like directions say.
