I’ve not had anything be such a fail. I don’t blame Amazon for this but am strictly talking about the product. I do sort of question why Amazon would continue to offer it. This was my first Segway into “ homeopathic” and if this is an indication of that type of intervention or treatment then I’ll happily stick with big pharma and the name brand products we’ve come to trust and respect. I needed treatment. I had the single didlucan tablet and after 3 weeks of a bunch of antibiotic switches , it seems like the issue was “ winning” the war. Being off hours, I of course do the Amazon thing to get my solution in a timely manner, thus saving me a trip to the pharmacy. I had a lot of choices and all were in the same price range and I wanted a short course (not 7 days of cream and stuff) so picked 2 days. Yep- whole reason for picking it from the list of options. No, like a dumb consumer, I didn’t read the package in the pics and being late don’t look at reviews ( since when don’t I scan reviews or check with the Buzzfeed lists?). So in my cart and on its way and my thought was - joy- relief is coming. I’m now to the point of use- and glance at the box which says “ organic” - that’s good. The box “ touts” it as effective “ kills >99% of tough to treat yeast infections” and lists as organic and homeopathic medicine. I’ve used other-products like this where there is a cream and an applicator so I don’t do more than find the “ how much to use” part of the instructions” and go for it - and about a millisecond later “ he11s- 🔔🔔🔔s” I’m am jumping around like a jumping bean with the most intense “ fire-like” pain at the site where I just put it. In my distress I momentarily wonder if putting water or the like on it will be like drinking water after eating a habanero pepper and do nothing put spread whatever’s making the intense heat around that region spread and increase to a greater extent. By this time I’m wiping as much of the product off with tissues and tp and baby wipes bc they’re not too wet when you think about it. My sole objective in life at the moment is to (1) continue to breathe (2) not scream bloody murder thus waking up my whole street and (3) finding something to remove as much of the “ homeopathic cream” as is humanly possible. We’re not the swanky household that has a bidet and I still worry that quantities of water will be exactly the opposite of what I want to do in terms of effect and relief. The box has the simple step by step process on one end with the statement “ apply” followed by “ sweet dreams” and “repeat day 2”. AS IF! Not only am I not going to have sweet dreams for several intense hours but the idea of EVER REPEATING in this or any other lifetime makes me snort with a chuckle until I am zapped again by the sensations of pain from a part of my body that is extremely sensitive and never sees the sun. I do the only thing I can think of- add a neutral ointment in a large blob to the suggested pantyliner ( from product instructions) and hope that like the “ emergency fire towel in a can” that it smothers the sense of flames and scorching that I am experiencing at the moment. No longer jumping but crab walking trying to keep the ointment in place , I return to my bed- with no desire to sit on the affected region and lay down. Of course then I feel like I need to return to the bathroom - is it the urge to potty or the warm feeling produced by the lotion? I don’t know but to be safe I —- well walk with dread toward the bathroom thinking the addition of liquid to the area probably will not be pleasant. And the burning continues to my dismay. Eventually I fall asleep but the strong scent ( smell like bug spray) of the product is still present in the am. That along with some residual burning which is more what I might have expected from the product. I was totally unprepared for the level of intense discomfort and burning that I experienced and completely regret ever using this product. It appeared in the keep of available products at Amazon on my search for the intervention I was needing. I chose it by accident from the multitude of products offered. It will go down as my biggest purchase regret for more years than I can even imagine. Now seriously - all of the above happened and was my experience. Your experience may be completely different. I contacted the customer care part of that company’s website and am awaiting a response. I wanted to put a real review out on this product and warn all of the unsuspecting customers looking to solve a very really problem in their lives. All of the traditional cures that I have used have worked without any sense of discomfort so I will go back to a name product. I’m just sad that I wasted my money and had such a painful, unsatisfactory experience in the process. It’s only as I go to find company contact info that I look at the front of the insert ( 2nd pic) and see the statements about burning and strong scent that it paints in a positive light. It lists the burning as normal and yet what I experienced was really concerning if the company considers that a normal response when using their product. It also says to talk to my dr if I have severe burning - well it was late since it was my bedtime and so that wouldn’t have been an option. and the severe being was a direct result is the use of their product not like PID or some such issue. Then I saw the warning that said it could damage diagrams , condoms & not be intimate while using. I can’t even imagine that for your partner. Those warnings ( had I read them) may have been enough to have me stear clear of the product and use an option from the local drugstore. Further, when reaching out to their site i found there was all sorts of information and disclaimers about the burning you might experience. So much info about this one response it made me wonder if my experience was unique - or just one more instance of this type of outcome. Judging by the length of my review - I’m sure it’s clear how underwhelmed and how actually sort of angry I was about the product and outcome. We’ll see what the company has to say when they respond.
