So, you throw out the old mechanical time clock in favor of new computerized tech. Back when folks didn't work from home, nor did they live in modern day communism; there was need for such devices. You get an instruction manual, power cord, screws for mounting and a USB thumb drive for transferring data. I guess the boss can't hook it up to Wi-Fi. Your fingerprint serves as the biometrics. I guess tapping your phone to a sensor at the door is out of the question.
