This one is higher than others on the market. It’s because it is of much better quality! It is very sturdy and well constructed. It was made to be able to hold stoneware plates. If you get the cheaper ones, you may only use paper plates on it. They are not made with a strong enough metal. This one is strong. It is also bigger than others so it can hold a regular plate. The others cannot because they’re smaller. Again, those were only made for disposable plates. This is very versatile and the tops of the plate holders can hold a casserole dish that will fit on the top or a Pyrex dish or bowl. They may be used separately or together. This set nests together to store very compact when not using.
