Thermometer came packed in cute packaging with batteries included. It works great. I work in rehabilitation floor and take this to work to take temperature.  It's portable and I get readings with in a sec . It is very easy to read and settings could be changed conveniently. In addition to this you get 15 months warranty. So, overall it's a great product.

I bought to keep at my house for when my grandbabies come stay. It came in a velvet bag & includes batteries. Temperature is very accurate and there are two ways to measure temp, forehead or ear which comes in handy with a sleeping infant!
