Review: Excellent buy - When someone knocks down and breaks your mailbox the week before Christmas and you live in a cold climate, this is an excellent option. It wasn’t a problem to assemble, although I would have preferred a bit more verbiage with the illustrated instructions. But overall it was easy enough, with the most difficult part being hoisting the sand bags around. The day after I put it together we had 50 MPH wind gusts, and the mailbox wasn’t even shaking. It seems to be made of sturdy plastic and was a reasonable price. While I bought it to solve a problem in winter, I would recommend giving this a try in any season. It works great, looks good and no there’s no hassle with sinking a post in concrete.
