Yes, one can place "risers" under the supports to bring it up to a useable height. But this causes two other problems: a-it does not look natural; b-the steps will not reach the bottom as it was designed to do. THIS ITEM SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED IF IT IS TO BE WORKING OVERPASS. Review: not designed for n scale - I have to raise the whole thing up 3/4" for n scale train clearance.
