I had bought an Oxo Good Grips Silicone Drain Protector, because I redid my bathroom and the popup stopper my plumber installed with the tub didn't work with my old drain protectors. Unfortunately, the holes in the Oxo drain protector were too big, and in three months, my drain clogged up with hair.Not wishing to shell out $125 to the drain cleaning guy four times a year, I ordered a bunch of stuff to see if it was a good alternative, but for reasons not worth typing out, lots of solutions were suboptimal for various reasons.And then I saw these awesome strainer bags. They fit over the Oxo drain protector very nicely, and they catch all the hair and lint that the Oxo protector was missing. Even better, cleaning will be a breeze as I can just replace the strainer bag when it gets too icky. So thrilled to have found a good solution. It's so frustrating that it's hard to find a good solution that keeps hair out of a tub drain, retains drainage, and allows you to easily plug the drain when you want a bath.
