Hated it for what I needed it for. The nano requires some basic software installation. I had an orange blinking light and had to find directions on YOUTUBE on how to deal with it, then still had compatibility issues with the voicetracking software I use. I never had any of these set up issues with the original yeti. You can plug it in and go. I was soooo disappointed. I would up buying another small mic, which worked but didn't sound as great as my yeti. GET THE ORIGINAL! **Q: can it be used on a chromebook without setup?** A: Yes. I believe it would...just tested it. I have an older Samsung Chromebook. Just plugged the Nano into the USB port and then went to the settings menu and selected the audio dropdown menu that is located near the volume/audio bar...the Yeti was listed there as the default input device. No setup. I do not have any programs that I could use to record with on my Chromebook so that is far as I took my little test.
