**Q: I use raw milk to make yogurt. I am looking for a unit that heats the milk, cools it, and then goes into incubating mode. Does this unit do that?**
A: The yogurt maker does not heat & cool down the milk before incubation.  The directions do say that you do not have to heat & cool the milk before incubation.  However, after several less than satisfying attempts, I have found I have a better consistency of yogurt if I do the preincubation process.  
I'm quite happy with the yogurt maker even with the preheating/cooling process.

**Q: The manual book makes me confused. Can you send me the recipe?**
A: Your on your own with the recipe essentially, but that shouldn’t deter from making yogurt because each person must experiment to get the consistency and results they expect and prefer, then write it down for future reference. Use any general yogurt recipe and thin or thicken accordingly with time and varied ingredients. For instance, before everyone was making their own Greek yogurt, I thickened mine with Borden’s or Carnation low fat powdered milk, then incubated for longer. The main thing is to not kill your live cultures with milk that’s too hot. I used 110 degrees for safety. The culture can be packaged (pricey) or by using plain yogurt with a live culture. To save money you can get Walmart’s brand Great Value plain Greek yogurt and it works fine, but always check the label to ensure it has the live cultures to start with like you would with a sour dough or any bread using yeast. Anything over 110 F can kill yogurt cultures which is why you want to use a thermometer to be safe. There are thermometers designed just for this on the market which are marked for you if necessary and clip on to hold them. I only ever flavored mine afterward when it’s cooled down or refrigerated. You can use a number of things for this, cocoa powder, instant coffee. Matcha powder, vanilla extract and so forth. Whatever floats your boat! 

It is sad that they couldn’t have just written this ‘new’ recipe right here for everyone all the same. Sorry for your inconvenience but if you want help you have to email us at further inconvenience to you is a poor response. Gee, thanks!

Hice el pedido el 17 de marzo de 2021. La fecha programada para la entrega era entre 29 de Marzo y el 12 de Abril. Recibí este producto el 21de Marzo, el cual llegó muy bien empacado y sin daños. La yogurtera es bonita, de apariencia moderna y sólida, además de tener un tamaño perfecto; los materiales lucen y se sienten de buena calidad. Tenemos otra yogurtera muy sencilla , pero que también puede fabricar yogurt griego, sólo que requiere mas participación humana, además de trabajo y tiempo adicional. Es necesario comentar que las instrucciones de la nueva yogurtera están únicamente en idioma Inglés por lo sería conveniente incluirlas también en Español o bien poder descargarlas del sitio del fabricante. El proceso de elaboración es muy sencillo pues sólo hay que mezclar los ingredientes en uno de los dos recipientes que se incluyen, colocar las tapas, elegir el tipo de yogurt que deseas (normal o griego), confirmar la operación y esperar a que transcurra el tiempo que ya viene definido. Una vez transcurrido el tiempo, la máquina se apagará por si sola y se deberán seguir las instrucciones ( las cuales están en Inglés) de enfriamiento y colado con sus respectivos tiempos. El producto obtenido es delicioso y con una muy buena consistencia. Como mi esposa ya ha adquirido mucha experiencia en esto del yogurt Griego ahora está realizando pruebas con tiempos de fermentación e ingredientes adicionales para obtener mayor o menor acidez y otras consistencias. En todos los casos, la yogurtera ha funcionado muy bien y los productos obtenidos son deliciosos.
