RJ, who hates the word "no", learns to come to terms with it when he joins his class's "Say Yes to No" club. Review: A little simplistic - I am not sure my boy is very found of it. I read it to him once and then, no more interest. Review: I love this book! - Hoi! (hi) I have 4 RJ books at home. This book is really useful and funny.I'll give this book a five star! RJ went to the market with his father and saw scented crayons. RJ asked his dad if he could buy it. The father said no, his mother said no to having a sleepover at Sam's house...but then he joins 'the say-yes-to-no'club. Find out more when you read it! ()__() ( ยท w ยท)

Excellent for children who struggle when they are told 'No'
My son, who has ASD, is forever trying to change 'No' into a 'Maybe' or a 'Next time', so this book was right up our street. He has joined the 'say yes to no club' and now enjoys collecting points/stickers on his reward chart when he takes a 'no' on the chin without any fuss or upset. Really helpful book for children who struggle with the finality of 'no', as my son does!

Wonderful tool for teaching children!
I have been working very hard with my daughter who has ADD about being respectful and how to go about things the right way. Everything in this book reiterrated what I have been telling her and as she read, she would look at me funny and say something like, "it sounds like you wrote this". The pictures and fun tone of the book made what I have been telling her more concrete and we really enjoy reading it together. We have talked about reading it more than once because she says she thinks it really helps her. She can remember a story in a book more than a lecture from mom, or being told to do something so it helps her set good limits and be respectful. I have purchased more of Julia Cooks books and even though I was worried that they would be a little "young" for my daughter who just turned nine, they were written in a manner that did not seem to juvenile for her. Cook's books are an amazing tool for helping kids work through some behavior issues in a fun and positive way!

Good book for kids
It is a good book for a 6-7 years old who start their adventure with independent reading. My girls liked it
