I have arthritis in my knees and need to sit often. I’m visiting relatives in Germany and Amsterdam. So glad I got this walking cane with a seat. I can stop at any time or place and catch my breath. This stool says it will hold 250 lbs so it is plenty sturdy. I feel very secure on it. Easy on and off of the seat. Whenever I was just walking a distance with the cane, I lengthened the center leg so that it was the only on touching the ground. Was easier to maneuver better that way It’s easy to push in the buttons to lengthen or shorten the legs.

I got two of these. They are very light, and easy to carry. The seat is comfortable enough for a half-hour sit down. The three legs give adequate balance. It's kind'a weird to have the stem of the cane come up between your legs, but I found that I could hang my purse on it while I sat. Oh, if you're just standing somewhere, you can hang bags, purses, etc. on the handle of the cane. I got one with a light built into the handle, which has proved useful. The other cane had a light which could be attached to the handle but that didn't work out. Better go with the 'in-handle' light. Holds 275 pounds--amazing.

This is easy to put together and adjust in various ways to your needs. As others have said, anatomy makes a difference. If you have a protruding belly where you carry all your weight, you will not be able to safely sit on this because you have to straddle it to sit safely and you risk not being able to get close enough to line up with the seat. If your higher weight is distributed throughout your body, this will work for you. The weight is good to use as a cane and carry around. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because I seriously question the weight this holds safely. The listing says 440 lbs - no way can you sit on this safely at that weight. I actually took this to a meeting and enlisted friends to “try it out.” Everyone had a body that allowed them to correctly straddle the seat safely, so it was just height and weight. Female 5’6” 145 lbs - felt safe and loved it Male 5’10” 172 lbs - felt safe sitting, thought it was good, but felt 20-30 minutes was max due to sitting in one position too long Female 5’ 2” 192 lbs - felt safe and loved it Male 6’ 3” 214 lbs - it was good to sit on but felt the cane part was not high enough to walk with, and the hand grip was too narrow for his hand Female 5’ 3” 234 lbs - it held her fine and felt safe as long as she didn’t move around much and she questioned the strength of the legs over time Female 5’ 6” 250 lbs - it held her but she felt it was too unsteady to safely sit on. Recommendation - lower the max weight to 250 lbs or lower. Realistically, I would say you are probably OK up to 220 lbs, but more than that, it becomes less safe and practical to use.

I don’t know why people give 1 star for this thing. Somebody fell at the first sit. Obviously they don’t read the manual. You simply sit with the handle in front of you and that also helps when you need to stand up. You sit the wrong way, you fall, as simple as that. This is my 2nd chair cane as I used to forget it when I hop into my car. Back pain is not fun without frequent seating every short moment. I am happy that I chose this 400 lbs version and my weight is 220 lbs. it is ver sturdy unlike my other 300 lbs version. The flashlight with handling is a plus. However I have a big complaint. The nice seat cover came off easily and I lost it. The seat cover design needs to improve, some strings to tie it to the cane is superb. I can live without the cover, but it was there and it should be secured. Bottom line. This is a lifesaver for me. I have 2 of them.

If i could give 0 stars i would! There is 440lb weight capacity. Why is the seat so darn small? Uncomfortable is an understatement. The heart ❤️ cushion pops off before you get to straddle the seat. Speaking of straddling, a person 440lb would find straddling this low contraption with the leg extensions. Bottom line unless you are 440lbs with an 8 inch Bottom and thin legs, dont waist your money. Returning this nonsense.

I have knee problems and knew I had to stand in line for possibly over an hour, so this seemed like a great buy. I'm very heavy, and yet this feels sturdy. The issue I have is that the seat surface is so tiny, it's not very comfortable even in a pinch to get the load off my knees and feet. Perhaps people with smaller tushes than mine would best enjoy this product.

We purchased this to help my wife walk and sit when she attended a protest in Chicago recently. The protest went well with a good number of attendees (the protest was about Women, Money and Democracy). Her group joined along with others to support needed banking changes...the cane/ chair was great, lightweight, easy to use and she felt safe and stable walking and sitting on it in the midst of the protest. Highly recommended. May get one myself in a few years!

Seat cover did not suit so I made another. It was pink and item was for my husband.
