I needed to use a car inverter which had a lighter plug, so I purchased this plug to use for that... The outlet itself is not of a design which allows a decent fit to any of the plugs I have. They all fit very loose and will not maintain even a reasonable connection. The included wiring and fuse holder is of a very light gauge, it looks to be around 18awg. The wiring gets warm to the touch even with a .5amp continious load. The design of this plug is poor to be nice; probably dangerous to be honest. Overall, I choose this plug over other options here because they all seemed to share the same defect, loose connection and poor design. This plug was the cheapest option and in the end it served it purpose for me as a temporary device; I was able to get the system running with the help of this product.
