9EzTropical - Reed Avocado - Grafted Tree 1 Feet Tall - Ship in plastic bag. The Reed avocado is one of the largest known varieties of avocado. The round fruit is about the size of a softball, and can easily weigh more than a pound. Its thick, green, slightly pebbled skin is easy to peel, and its flesh is a pale golden-yellow. It has a relatively large seed and seed cavity, but its robust size allows it to still carry a substantial amount of edible flesh. The texture is buttery, and the flavor is bold, rich and nutty. The productive Reed avocado trees are slender and upright, and although their height can be controlled with pruning, they are able to grow up to 37 feet tall. The tree arrived healthy and as you can see, it is thriving. The price was good and what I would have expected to pay at a local nursery. I purchased a Hass (the larger tree in the photos) from the same nursery and I'm hoping these two will help each other out with pollinating next year. So far, so good!
I live in avocado country, so I was surprised that no nurseries around me had these in stock. I took a chance and ordered by mail and it has worked out. The tree arrived healthy and as you can see, it is thriving. The price was good and what I would have expected to pay at a local nursery. I purchased a Hass (the larger tree in the photos) from the same nursery and I'm hoping these two will help each other out with pollinating next year.

Reed avocado
Super happy with my avocado tree, it arrived healthy and well packaged. I repotted mine for the time being and the tree seems happy and is thriving for its size. I will definitely be buying other varieties of avocado trees form Mimosa Nursery LA.

Hard to keep alive
Tree very lively, when I bought it, but it's the 2nd one I buy because the first one died in me and know this one is drying out and hasn't given any new sprouts, and it's drying from tips the bottom

Super pretty plant
This is a hard review because the plant I recieved is beautiful. It was package well and looks very healthy. I only gave it 3 stars because while I was planting it I found the avacodo seed. The plant is advertised as a grafted tree not a seedling. Grafted trees will produce fruit but trees grown from seeds may never produce. I emailed seller and will update to see what happens. Seller emailed me to say that is how they are grafted so I learned something new and updated to 5 stars

DO NOT !!! I repeat DO NOT buy my tree died instantly root ball was chopped to pieces!
This was a gift to myself but didn't work out at all.. once I unpotted the plant to replant in my own pot change the soil when it arrived it was soaked in muddy substrate after inspecting the root ball I came to find all the roots were chopped to bits and the seed to the plant was broken and buried into the soil along with random leaves was the weirdest and worst tree I have ever received through the mail I recommend fourwindsgrowers.com or a company of that stature save your money this is some kind of scam I can feel it in my bones! P.s. I ordered the Reed avocado 🥑only chose 1 star because I had to otherwise it would be zero stars !!!

Showed up Fast and Healthy
Ordered from so cal. They tell you when it ships and give an ETA of 12 days, worrisome to say the least, then it showed up the day after shipping. Perfectly healthy grafted tiny avocado tree in a box. 2 weeks later and it is still alive and has new growth. I'm thinking I should have bought a bigger tree from a local nursery.

Avocado plant
Plant came in bad shape.And it wasn't completely heal from the grafting part and I don't think it was ready to be sell because I believe that it was just month or two after grafted
