Review: Compatibile con un buon parco auto, interfaccia semplice e aggiornamenti software già da subito - Per esperienze personali ho avuto a che fare con molte diagnosi auto, soprattutto professionali, strumenti potentissimi che spesso hanno l'unico ma grande difetto dell'interfaccia utente poco intuitiva, si spende più tempo a girovagare nei menu delle funzionalità che ad eseguire le operazioni di diagnosi. La prima cosa che ho apprezzato del THINKCAR THINKSCAN 662 è la pulizia, ordine e semplicità della sua interfaccia che rende intuitivo l'utilizzo anche a chi non ha mai maneggiato uno strumento del genere. I menu sono raggruppati in base alla funzionalità di diagnosi, con icone specifiche, passare da uno all'altro richiede giusto qualche clic e si è subito pronti a lavorare sulla centralina. Alla prima accensione va selezionata la lingua e appena connesso al wifi nel mio caso mi è stato consigliato un aggiornamento software che è durato qualche minuto. La lingua italiana è tradotta un po' alla buona ma tutto è ben comprensibile, tranne qualche menu che ha una traduzione di fortuna; se si ha la possibilità è meglio utilizzare la lingue inglese. Come ormai tutte le diagnosi moderne, anche la Thinkscan 662 è basata su un tablet android rapido nei caricamenti, fluido quando si scorrono le schermate con un display dalla buona risoluzione e ben leggibile anche sotto al sole, con il vantaggio di avere anche dei tasti fisici, comodissimi quando bisogna scorrere i menu (o i risultati) a tendina. Nelle mie prove l'ho utilizzato su auto fiat, alcune tedesche e altre europee più comuni e in tutti i casi ho avuto massima compatibilità. Per i modelli fca più recenti avendo autoauth integrato è possibile leggere eventuali errori presenti o rimasti registrati in memoria, eliminarli ma ovviamente per operazioni specifiche serve un account. Per gli altri modelli non si hanno particolari blocchi software e si ha piena operabilità che siano benzina o diesel. Lo scanner si prende automaticamente i dati vin del veicolo, basta semplicemente impostare marchio, modello e anno. In caso non si sappiano queste info si può avviare una ricerca generale che richiede qualche minuto ma alla fine si ha lo stesso risultato, quindi meglio agevolarlo parzialmente manualmente. Se ci sono aggiornamenti software (della diagnosi) per quel modello specifico, si verrà subito avvisati e si può decidere se farli o meno, ovviamente gratuitamente. Successivamente si ha piena operabilità per azzeramento spie service, visualizzare eventuali errori e nei modelli più recenti è possibile attivare elettronicamente alcune funzionalità per testarne il funzionamento, come l'attivazione della pompa dell'acqua, regolare le valvole e altre regolazioni che richiedono anche una certa competenza tecnica. La cosa fondamentale è quando si visualizzano gli errori della centralina, la diagnosi mostra il codice specifico e permette sia di fare uno screen, permettendo anche di inserire una nota, oppure di fare una ricerca immediata sul web. Infatti la centralina va connessa a internet per funzionare. L'unico neo potrebbe essere il wifi soltanto 2.4GHz, ma in realtà è quello che si usa principalmente su questi dispositivi perché ha un raggio e una stabilità maggiore rispetto al 5GHz, anche se la velocità di trasmissione è minore non influisce sulla tempistica della diagnosi, al limite soltanto quando si effettuano aggiornamenti software si impiega qualche istante in più. L'interfaccia OBD2 è soltanto cablata. L'intera diagnosi è irrobustita da un case rigido e parzialmente gommato, adatto ad officine meccaniche ed elettroniche dove gli urti accidentali sono all'ordine del giorno. La batteria dura anche più giorni, si ricarica tramite un comune cavo usb-c. Per quel che costa, il case, le caratteristiche tecniche, la buona compatibilità con tanti modelli auto, gli aggiornamenti disponibili fin da subito e soprattutto per l'interfaccia intuitiva è da 5 stelle.
