The outer casing of the connector (containing the latch) serves nicely as a wire stripping gauge: Use the length of the larger diameter portion with the latch for stripping the outer rubber jacket Use the length of the smaller diameter threaded portion for stripping the wires themselves. I recently purchased a 100' 12AWG speaker cable, cut it in half, then cut one of the halves in half. The build seems solid and they work great, it was easy to put them on the cable ends. I can save some headaches for others. The labels on the poles are really hard to see. Magnification and really bright light makes it possible.
