The worn-looking one are these cleats after 2+ years of very aggressive riding and racing They look really bad but they work just fine. They click out seemingly automagically if the bike takes a hit and I needed to get out anyhow, even before I realize it. 2. The newer-looking ones are fresh ones I just put on for a race in a few weeks. (Never changes things just before a race, btw. Test everything first.) Should be a little bit tighter like I like. Observer the metal plates under the cleats. I strongly advise using those to protect your expensive Italian riding shoes and their carbon fiber sole. After two years of riding, the plates are worn but still serviceable. Anyhow, I'm still not a fan of the extra (up to) few seconds it takes to re-click back in. Let the first set go a little too long before replacing LOL These install super easy but if it’s your first time using them be sure to have your phone handy.
