Tigon TW-5 Spring Balancer, Tool Balancer with Steel Cable, (Load Capacity: 2.5-5.0 kg/5.5-11 lbs)

Prior to getting this balancer, I had to get on a step ladder to get my model planes down from the ceiling. Now, I just reach up and grab onto one of the wheels, and pull it down. Very convenient. I don't know why I didn't get one of these sooner.

The cable is wound on a cone and provides even pull through out the range. I used as a counter weight on large binoculars with good results. If used in a wet location drill two drain holes in the lower edge of the reel cage for water to drain out. The cage and reel are cast aluminum and the construction is of finest quality.

Most of the comparable balancers were priced higher. The construction of this one is solid steel. It is well built and does the job perfectly.

I use this to hold a nailing gun in the air. Works fantastically. The unit is small and light weight but well built. Will be buying a few more to use in the shop.
