Best iron I've ever had, glides smoothly, irons smoothly without any effort. Lots of steam which is what I wanted. I was initially put off by the diamond pattern but actually this is quite small and not offensive in any way :) Long lead, easy to use, nice weight, love it!

I had the previous model of this iron for many years and it was great to use. When it eventually gave up, I automatically looked for the same and so bought this. It is a good iron, but it's not quite as good as it's predecessor, which is a little disappointing. The cord isn't as long which is a bit of a pain, and maybe it's just me, but the spray button seems to now be positioned too close to the top of the handle - I now have to make a concentrated effort not to press it and spray water everywhere each time I iron. I'm sure I'll get used to it, I've not had this iron very long. Also, I have to be careful when putting water in the iron now because the cover keeps coming off when it's opened. Maybe I'm being a bit heavy handed, but I don't think so - it never happened in all the years I had the previous Breville iron. But even with my few little gripes, it is still is a good iron and I've no intention of replacing it until it wears out, which, like it's predecessor will hopefully be years off.

I originally bought a more expensive iron that was a different brand. It stopped working within a week. It was really heavy, and also a lot of new irons have a function that you have to have to hold down a trigger to get the steam to work, which is quite difficult when the iron is heavy. This one doesn’t have that function, which was a relief. We have never had a breville iron before, so we didn’t know what to expect, but the reviews were positive on here; so we took a chance and it was worth it. This iron is truly fantastic. I love the design and colours with the rose gold and the kind of leopard print on the main body of the iron. It is also very lightweight which makes it so much easier for arthritis and back pain. I love that the steam is automatic and no Trigger and the water capacity is good. It’s seamless and makes Ironing so much easier as it glides and it’s powerful. Ironing is one of my least favourite household chores, but this iron makes it so much quicker and easier. I purchased this one because of other great reviews I had read on here. I’m really glad I returned the other brand (the one that broke within a week) and got this instead because it is so much better.

Update after 2 years of use : Two problems have developed with this iron. There is a leak somewhere, which results in water occasionally dripping from the handle. I think it's due to the cap not sealing properly in the filling hole. The iron has started tripping the RCD for my downstairs sockets each time I use steam on setting 4. When the iron is tilted backwards, i.e. standing it on its 'foot', an explosive cloud of steam is generated. This now seems to be creating a short circuit in the footplate of the iron, which trips the RCD. It's really annoying to have to reset the RCD, wait for powered devices to restart (i.e. TV / FireStick, etc. = = = Original review : I bought this Breville iron after a long run of bad experiences with steam generator irons from Philips, Teal, and Polti. All were dreadful => short lifespan and always belching brown water all over the ironing despite being well maintained (descaling etc). This Breville iron is excellent. Reliable, gets up to temperature quickly, no 'brown water belching', and a nice long power cord. Will definitely buy again if this one reaches end of life.

The best iron I have used so far. Tried a lot of them , this one is light, heats up very quickly at a very high temperature with a very good steaming power. Excellent iron at a reasonable price

I have bought this iron twice now, liking how it performs and the extra long cable. However each time the iron has exploded when not very old, luckily without injuring me but one time damaging the socket, leading to bills from the electrician. I won't be buying a Breville iron again and advise anyone considering its purchase to be very careful.

Great iron, does the job

Best iron I've ever used. Would never go to another brand after this one. Makes ironing a lot easier. Be careful with the steamjet button. I was a bit overzealous with it and it broke after around a year, but I like the iron so much that I just ordered the exact same one!

I got this very nice device but can’t use it because it was supplied with the wrong plug! It supposed to come with AU standard plug .
