Outstanding!
I have gout and the doctor wanted to put me on daily medication for it and I decided. I would try changing my diet first, so I looked for a cookbook and found this one. This cookbook is so complete with the exception of pictures with the recipes. That would just be a plus! I It's so awesome! Everything you need to know to help manage this condition with diet
My husband has had gout for many years, and although he knows the basics of what to avoid etc, he does still have several attacks each year (nobody's perfect!). He loved the recipes in this book--it's inspirational and nice to see that even when avoiding certain foods, you can still make beautiful food that tastes good. I love how the book reads--it's nicely organized, covers everything in an approachable way, not preachy or overly scientific. It's also a beautiful book to read. I'm happy I got this book and know that we'll be using it from here on out.

Great book with information on gout, gout treatment and causes as well as diet suggestions.
Very happy with the recipes and the excellent descriptions of gout causes, treatment and available suggestions for prevention.

The Best Gout Book Available!
This book is the best I have found to help you learn to live with gout. I am recently diagnosed and was shocked at the contradictory and confusing information out there, so was relieved to finally find a wonderful resource! Gout is explained in easy to understand terms and lots of great recipes (with photos) and tips are provided. The book includes suggestions for how to stock your pantry and shopping lists for each week.

Excited but disappointed
I was excited for this book as a person with gout. I like the idea of a meal plan and shopping list. I was disappointed when I went shopping and then started to meal prep. The spices werenโt included in the shopping list. Also, most of the serving sizes are for 4 but you only eat that meal once in the week. I can freeze the meat items but the vegetables I prefer fresh as they donโt freeze well.

I have already made some recipes and it has helped so much in my life. I love this book. The food is great.

Excellent recipes
By following the recipes in the book I managed to halve my uric acid count in 2 months. Also useful for people with diabetes as most recipes are also diabetic friendly. 90% of my meals are now made using this book.

No pictures
Good recipes. Again in confused via Google, GP etc, many foods to be avoided are in recipes. First recipes opened to, oats? I was told no oats, spinach, cauliflower?

Very useful
While I may need to modify some of this plan because I live in a fairly remote part of Australia, and for my own tastes, I think it could provide what I need to follow in the new year. I have learnt quite a bit about gout-friendly and unfriendly foods. While I knew about cherries, for example, I had no idea that sodium was a major problem.
