Deliver Me From Negative Self Talk: A Guide To Speaking Faith-filled Words (Lord Deliver Me Series) [Davis, Lynn R] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Deliver Me From Negative Self Talk: A Guide To Speaking Faith-filled Words (Lord Deliver Me Series) Review: Exceptional book - Excellent book. This book book brought me back to reading the bible and meditating on the word. Review: Inspiring - This is a book for Christians. It's inspiring, honest and Spirit filled. I like how Lynn shares her story. When I started reading I wasn't sure if I will learn much since I have been a Christian for over thirty years and read about the power of words a lot. This is a topic however, that I will always want to keep reading about. We all need to. Lynn's analogy of her house's yard condition and her own heart was brilliant. How many times we want to speak well (decrees, affirmations, etc) without considering our heart"s condition? It's like wanting to plant green grass on top of soil that really needs a process of cleaning and prep.I Many books on words declaration missed this part, and if they mentioned, it is not as clear as this picture. Yes, I learned and I enjoy this reading. Great book. Lynn is an anointed writer.

Nice book; Encouraging words!
This is a short simple easy read. Great motivation. I love that the author uses scriptures to support her views. It's very positive. A refresher to believe and keep the faith. I didn't expect the daily ( day 1-31) motivations selection. I preferred to keep going instead of reading each passage once a day. The book isn't non-denomination so, it's not a "spiritual" self help book, but a religious Christian self help book. Not a bad thing. But a personal preferences of course.

A book to read and reread
It's not hard to recognize the power of words. We all get affected by them just about every day. The challenge is knowing how to handle it. This book helps. It is a book that you would need to read and reread. It also made me realize more fully how wonderful the Bible is as Ms. Davis uses the scriptures to underpin her argument that we fight a spiritual battle when dealing with this power of words. I like her formula (you can read it in the book) as we do often dwell on the negative words and actions of others long after we should have let it go. As most people, I have been impressed by the fact that some people work for the devil as they go around hurting people with their words. I remember thinking that one woman hadn't been asked but had volunteered and was dong a great job for him. And then I observed an African-American woman who in two years had never said a negative word about anyone (at work) and was fearless in quoting a scripture here and there to me when I felt like belting some gossip or other (with a witty retort) . Just smile and go on your way, she'd tell me. I'd struggle to focus on the positive-that much I knew. Because of her and the words she used-her constant choice of strong and positive words which appeared to me a part of her Christian upbringing and philosophy, I got this book and it helps me more to focus on the positive. It's interesting to note that this woman was always well-dressed, constantly attended to her duties at work, married successfully with children who attended a private Christian school-all exemplary-but it was her words that amazed me at first, then impressed me as time went by. And of course she got a lot of mean comments and criticism and she still remained strong.

Wisdom, hope, faith, and strength
I thank you for writing this book. I know this book was given to me by the Lord to help me learn the lies and negative thoughts that I have been believing for many years. This book is the start of a new journey for me, a different kind of walk with my Jesus. The example of your life of how God led you has helped me to see the 30, 60, 100 fold. Thank You for following the calling and lead God has given you to right this book and many others that I plan on reading. May God continue to bless you with His wisdom, provision, and strength to continue to do so. Amen.

Short and Informative
I was drawn to this book because of the title, and also because the source was from the Bible. I learned a fewer things and was reminded of the need to speak God's word over my situations (not the same as speaking positively) . Was a bit Disappointed at the length of the book and also thought it was weak on substance in certain areas. Overall it's an okay guide and a quick read

Yes awesome book!!!!
I love this book. Reading this kind of book in correlation with the bible stirs up the spirit of God inside me. It helps me to understand and reassure me that God has anointed me to do great things. All I have to do is keep my focus on him. As I look at certain situations that have occurred in my life. I can realize that it was God that brought me through every last one of them .So when I'm faced with any challenge. I Stop and go to God and say God I know you have a better life for me then this and you have never let me down and this time is no different. God word says if you have the faith of a mustard seed that there shall be nothing impossible unto you. If you ever seen the size of a mustard seed you would know it's not very big. It you would just take that small step of faith and and nurture it with Meditation of God's word you will find the the stronger your faith will become. It will take time but the more time you strengthening your relationship with God he will make you successful in every area of your life.

What an amazing book. Well written for even teenagers to enjoy and start speaking the word of God into their lives. It challenges one to start being very careful about what we say about ourselves, others and God.It is brief and to the point. A book I will be recommending to my children!

Loving, thoughtful and inspirational book. Teaches us to be mindful of how we condition our minds to believe in untruths about ourselves and others and how God can be our saviour. A very good read.
