PURAX Deodorant Cream - Deodorant Cream with Aloe Vera, without Aluminium and Alcohol (1 x 80 g)

I purchased this cream when the cream I have been using for almost 10 years is no longer available .I have been using PURAX deodorant cream for just over a week now and first thoughts are why did I not know about this cream before it is quite firm in the tin and when applied underarm keeps you dry for more than 24 hours or until your next shower there is a slight scent but when applied would never know its there and no rash or wet feeling that other creams can cause I will highly recommend this cream and it will be my cream of choice for the future TOP MARKS...William....Blackpool....

I have a sweating problem as soon as I come out of the shower. I have tried all the crap there is out there. Let me tell you that this is the best. Even after a long run there is no bacterial smell at all. This will even last you till the next day. This product is well formulated and I would not hesitate to recommend. Keep up the good work Purax!

I really thought I’d discovered the holy grail of antiperspirants when I discovered this product - a replacement for Arrid extra dry cream that actually works! For the first few weeks of use, this worked a treat, but then I gradually began to develop a rash and painful abscesses in my pit area. After disconnecting use of this product, the rash went, but came back immediately when I resumed use again. I suspect the problem is with the sodium bicarbonate found in Purax, as I’ve subsequently had issues with another antiperspirant that I’ve tried that also had it as an ingredient. A great product for non sensitive sorts, but for me, it’s unusable. As for my ongoing search for an antiperspirant that works for me, Kiehls deoderent cream is great, if a little expensive.

The main reason this was obtained was to avoid single use or similar plastic waste. This item does not seem to be made of plastic, it’s all in a metal can. The content is a waxy, hard cream, harder than butter that doesn’t melt on the fingers. Unfortunately, it’s quite solid at about 16C but in the 20s you can get enough of it using an index finger to rub under the armpits. Getting enough to rub under the arms at low temperature could be the challenge which is why such products are not as “accessible” as sprays or roll-ons that tend to rely on plastic. In a tropical climate this should not be a problem at all, and at least the quantity obtainable is correlated with temperature, given we sweat more, when the weather is warmer. The scent is mild, weak and not zingy, I prefer the stronger smells in the rival product Hippy Paste, now rebranded marketed by Earth Concious. The one thing that makes this worthwhile is that there’s a good quantity to last a year or so, though I’ve yet to evaluate consumption. The melting temp of the formula to make it easy to obtain by finger needs attention or advice to the consumer. Cheaper than other plastic free alternatives.

I've used Purax roll-on antiperspirant before, the one that blocks sweat for a week, and, aside from the uncomfortable burning feeling the first couple of hours after applying, it worked wonders. I really didn't have any problem with sweat for 5-6 days. So my expectations of this new deodorant cream were high. Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to like this product, it didn't work for me at all. It didn't block the sweat and only neutralised the body odour for couple of hours. I really like the ingredients of this product, just wish the performance was better. Overall disappointing experience...

I've used Arrid cream deodorant for years but struggling to get it. Have a feeling it's been discontinued, so thought I'd try this instead, based on other reviewers comments. The tub's going to last for ages as it's a more dense product, so a little goes a long way. I don't like perfumed/scented products, so this is perfect for me. Seems to work really well.

A very good deodorant, it's a little hard, but I roll it into little balls and put it back in the tin for when I need it, just roll the balls between my fingers till soft, then use,,, easy, great value for money, mine has lasted 8 weeks, I will be buying again.

Like others who wrote that they’re trying it due to arris cream not available, I have found this one not to be that great. It’s not summer yet but while having my walks it doesn’t works well and I’m not normally sweating a lot. It’s hard to rub in and as said, somewhat grainy so makes it unpleasant to put-on. I will not, definitely not, buy it again. Miss arid very much and hope soon it will be back for sale here.
