Review: Easy to Use, Fun Star Wars Cook Book! - This is a great cookbook! There's categories for different meals, desserts, drinks, breads, etc. The directions are easy to follow for each recipe and it labels easy - difficult. Everything I have made from here so far has turned out excellent! They have some fun unique ingredients, as well, such as a blue tea for the famous blue mink! I have even substituted some ingredients for dairy-free and gluten-free, and these have worked well. There are also some vegetarian options in the recipes. This is a wonderful purchase or gift for a Star Wars lover. There really isn't anything negative about the cook book. I highly recommend this! Review: Great Gift for anyone who is a Star Wars Fan & Loves to Cook - The quality of the spiral bound book is exceptional. I also love the glossy pages with beautiful graphics. The recipes look appetizing. This is a gift for someone who loves to cook and is a big Star Wars fan, so I am sure they will love it. I was willing to pay extra for spiral as when cooking you want the book to lay flat on the counter, so feel it is worth the extra cost. If you are looking mostly for display then I am sure the hardbound is just as good. I am beyond impressed how beautiful this cookbook is and anyone who loves Star Wars will love this!

Fun and delicious!
So, having just returned from Galaxy's Edge, my family was craving more of the food from Docking Bay 7 (DLR not WDW). I bought this on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. Few things to consider: you will need a grocery store like a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, or specialty market. However, if you have a WF's nearby, I've found everything there. For reference: I make most of our food from scratch, but I'm not adventurous in the kitchen. The directions are easy to follow, and it is a lot of fun flavor combos. I have not gone through the whole book yet, but we are loving it. Yes, it's true: the ronto wrap in the book is different from the park, and so is the Felucian Garden dish. In DLR, that is made with impossible meat. In this book, it's chickpeas. But so what? It's close/similar, and fun. Also, I was able to adjust every recipe to be gluten free. I would say there is xanthan gum in a few, so if you have a corn allergy you may need to modify more. Soy sauce is also used often, but you can swap out for soyless soy sauce. Get it. It's fun! And, as another universe in Disney's cog might say: anyone can cook.

Yes, You Absolutely Need This!
Buy it! I know you can pull recipes offline, but having all the ideas in one place with an easy to flip to page with pics is makes planning and executing a breeze. We've used this for our annual May the 4th Marathon since 2022- and the recipes are fun and tasty- my kids who are picky enjoy the variations of flavors and it makes for a highlight of the party. (We've also incorporated several of the recipes into our normal meal line up, because they're that good.)

Fun Cookbook, Great if you are a fan and want to get into cooking something different
This is probably the best recipe book for a star wars nerd out there. There are recipes on the starwars website but this is more of an actual food book inspired by food at galaxy's edge and the universe in general. I have made 18 of the 54 recipes and here are my thoughts. Pros: This book has a wide variety of foods to make, especially the sides, meals, desserts and drinks. The recipes are pretty straightforward with how to make things, how difficult they would be (If you cook normally, there is nothing too difficult). Most of the recipes have a very nice photo and flavor text to set the mood. I would recommend the Spicy Mandalorian Stew, Fried Endorian Tip Yip, Ronto Wrap, Nerf Kababs, and Kowakian Crumb Cake. Neutrals. Most of the recipes will have some ingredient that may be difficult to find at your normal grocery store. This is anything from specific seasonings like curry paste or gahram masala or flavors like orange and banana extract. I have even had issues finding almond and rice flour for some dishes. This can be a fun thing to branch out and try new things, but picky eaters and timid cooks might struggle. While there might be some dishes that are a 1-1 from the park, many are new creations or different from what you would get at the park (I think the ronto wrap in the book is way better than the one at the park.) a lot of the recipes are more for looks than tastes (the Mustafarian Rolls look cool but they taste just like normal yeast rolls) Cons: several of the recipes basically need to be exact in order to to turn out great, so several of the recipes either need every ingredient to taste good, or too complicated for the beginner cook. There were several recipes that i tried that could really use some tweaking (the gravy for the tip yip for example is olive oil mixed with herbs, and it does not work for what is essentially fried chicken and mashed potatoes. It probably would have tasted better if i just made normal brown or white gravy and mixed in the herbs and green food dye.) 3/14 of the drink recipes are alcoholic so keep that in mind for kids or those who dont drink for whatever reason. Portions are all over the place, sometimes its way too much for 2-4 people, and sometimes it not enough (one dinner recipe is 6 kababs that are so small that they feel like they should be an appetizer.) If you know a star wars fan that loves to cook, This is a great gift. Most of the recipes are fun and some will be repeats for every star wars event, but some are not worth the time and effort, but its a lot of fun to try new, weird, or unique recipes out. You may need to double a recipe or make some changes to make it how you want it, but if you know how to do that, then its smooth sailing.

Extraterrestrial culinary delight!
Recently, in the galaxy we call home, I bought this cookbook for my grandchildren, (8 and 4) who are ardent Star Wars devotees. Naturally, their parents had to help them with the recipes, but they have had a great time cooking up sophisticated, out-of-this-world recipes for the occasional special Star Wars movie viewing night. My daughter has raved about the originality and sophistication, but ease of preparing the delicious alien fare, and the whole family is over the moon anticipating the next odd looking goodies (sometimes suitably gross-looking, sometimes beautiful, always cosmic). They’ve enjoyed the recipes, pictures, banter, and experience of this cookbook so much, they’ve spread the word; and other families have ordered it and shared their fun, as well! And the Force prevails!

Fun cookbook
I originally purchased two of these books for my sons... But after having skimmed through them, decided that I needed one for myself. Is it entirely accurate to the park? Probably not seeing as they are trying to cater to half a bazillion people a day there rather than the 4-6 the average home will serve. The recipes are bound to be different. Just from a practical standpoint. Perhaps these are/were the original & more inspired recipes. I have no idea, I only have a BA in culinary arts and no degree in the Star Wars saga...nor have I ever worked for Disney. Would I recommend this to Star Wars fans looking to add a little flair to their menus or for a themed party? YES, without reservation. It's a lot of fun for any fan. That said, if the sight of blue noodles or "odd" ingredients is off putting...give it a pass. OTOH, if one is willing to have some fun exploring "alien" food...go for it. And have fun with it.
