Not at all what I expected
I have always wanted a Rolex Daytona. However, $15,000 was a little out of my price range. While searching a Daytona on Amazon this item came up. I took a look, and it did appear pretty good. Not a Rolex, as expected. I took a flyer, simply to see it in person. How could a watch that costs $75 be in any way satisfactory? The Invicta that arrived is far beyond anything I could expect for the price. I've always dismissed Invicta watches as being crude and not worthy of consideration. The watch that arrived is amazing. Right, it isn't a Rolex. However, it is exactly the same in size and weight, and the finish, gold bracelet, gold bezel, everything is correct. I have owned a Rolex. This is as close as anything to the real thing. I'm really particular about what I wear, and I'm proud to wear this watch. The dial is perfectly rendered. The gold is bright and everything I could want it to be. The bezel is beautifully crafted, and looks exactly like the Rolex. However, the stop watch function is not in any way usable. The sweep second hand is exactly that, a second hand. It doesn't function as a stop watch second hand. The small dials function as the stop watch. They simply don't work as you would expect. And the Hour dial works as a 24 hour dial. Fine, as long as you know what to expect. I LOVE this watch. But it is all show and no go, so to speak. It's all about wearing it and loving looking at it. If you're looking for a functional stop watch, this isn't it. But how many Daytona owners actually use the stop watch function? If you want a Daytona but don't want to spend $15,000, buy this watch. You will NOT be disappointed. It's accurate, beautiful and a pleasure to own. I suppose it will show wear in a few years, but then I can buy around 250 of these for the price of one Daytona. This watch blows me away, I own collectible Seiko titanium, Omega, Tag Heuer, etc. I'm amazed and astounded by this watch. If you wear this watch your biggest problem will be in explaining to people that it isn't actually a Rolex.

Nice Homage Watch
First off its an Invitca. It costs under $100. It is a homage to a Rolex and not a competitor to Rolex. If you want a high end watch similar to a Rolex this is NOT it. You should probably look elsewhere or just get the Rolex. Now, with that settled, this is a very nice homage watch. I would say it is your "standard" Invicta quality if not slightly higher. If you hate Invictas then you will probably hate this watch. If you love Invictas then you will probably love this watch. If you have no idea what the controversy is over the love/hate relationship with Invictas and just want a cheap but nice looking watch, buy this one. I won't repeat what other reviews have stated. But will point out two things. First, the chronograph "crowns" are also screw down. That doesn't bug me but makes it hard to use that function while it is on your wrist. I guess you could just keep those unscrewed but that is going to negate the waterproofing. How many times do you really need to use the chronograph functions though, anyhow? So not a big thing. Second, there are a few reviews mentioning the tachymeter on the bezel being worthless since the second hand keeps actual time and isn't a part of the chronograph function. If these people would also just look at the bezel they would see that the units on the tachymeter are in UNITS PER HOUR, not second or minute. (Anyway who even uses the tachymeter feature anyhow...but if you are going to complain about it at least check the units before doing so.) In short, nice watch. Grab it if want something that looks nice but doesn't cost thousands of dollars.

Beautiful Expensive Looking Watch
This was a present for a guy, but I ended up keeping it myself (woman) since it's right up there with the large fashionable watches that women wear these days. Plus, it's not huge at 40mm, it looks right if you have a bigger wrist, like I do. The bracelet is very large though (naturally, it's a guy's watch!) - around 8.5" so you may need to adjust it or take a few links out. I think the gold is beautiful, it matches exactly my 18k jewelry, and I can wear it with both gold and silver. Adjusting it is a breeze, just make sure you unscrew the center knob. Even though I never use all its functions, it's just nice to have them. Make sure all 3 knobs are tightened, so no water enters the watch. I find the bezel tasteful, with the numbers being very fine, just indented and barely visible. I was afraid it would look gaudy with black numbers on the bezel (as pictured), but that's not the case, it's just golden gorgeous. The bracelet is substantial, even though I think it's hollow, and the watch is not too heavy (compared to my ceramic watch), but it's got a good solid feel. The white dial is beautiful too, with a shiny surface and a beautiful raised diamond and sunray pattern. There are no markers at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock (as the one pictured is an older model), but I don't find them terribly necessary. I was impressed by the careful packaging, the bracelet and watch case are wrapped in protective plastic, so no scratches. The box looks impressive too, if you want it for a gift. It even comes with a polishing cloth, warranty and user manual. Really, no complaints. I checked the Rolex Daytona that many celebrities wear (I cannot afford the real thing), but it's a good lookalike, and I love that style chronograph look. This is a gold plated watch, so we'll see in time how good it holds. This is my first Invicta watch, and if the quality is the same, I plan to buy more Daytonas... err Speedways, in other color combinations. Highly recommended for a guy or a gal.

Invicta Men's 9212 Speedway Collection Chronograph S Watch
I want to say right off that this watch is beautiful! I mean it sparkled all over the place and appeared to be worth far more than what I paid for it. I've read a few reviews of people who have had trouble "working" the different functions of the watch but I personally had no problem once I read the manual. The manual of the watch itself is a bit confusing however. But I have since found out that apparently many wristwatch companies seem to make similar manuals. What was confusing about the manual was the fact that Invicta, (Timex and Nautica to name 2 others), included every watch style they have within this one tiny manual. The size of the manual is about 2 inches by 2 1/2 inches and the font size is very small. What they basically do is start out with their simplest watch design and diagram the way to set the time, date, etc. and do that with every variation of that simplest form. Then they go on to the next, more complex design repeating the way to operate the many functions of that watch. So if Invicta had say, 5 different designs to their watches and each design had 4 different variations, you would be looking at about 20 different instructions in the operation of the various buttons and screws. So if you're not reading particularly carefully you can easily find yourself trying to work your chronograph with instructions that they gave for a different variation of that chronograph, (And they don't all work the same). Okay, that's enough about the manual. I must point out that I did send the watch back and the reason for my four stars instead of five really comes down to the manuals layout and the biggest flaw that I found with the watch: it is too reflective! Yes, it's too shiny! The beautiful golden rimmed dials and gold lined watch hands really catch the eye but, the white watch face in the background make it so difficult for me to be sure of what time it is in anything but perfect light conditions. My vision isn't that great I will admit and at 56, I use reading glasses. If the time of day is something like 3:15 PM the positions of the hour hand and the minute hands clash with the gold rimmed sub dials white face in the background and make it impossible for me to tell exactly where the positions of those hands are when I don't have my glasses on. Incredibly, I found it almost as difficult to tell what time it was under those kinds of conditions even when I did have my glasses on because of the high reflections coming from not only the watch hands, sub dials, and white face, as well. The crystal created a double reflection similar to what you would find if you were to put a glossy photograph behind glass in a frame. In my note that accompanied my return I suggested that Invicta apply some form of matte finish to the crystal face. At any rate, this is a beautiful watch and perhaps, for younger eyes, would suit them just fine. The watch felt very well made and functioned as it should and Very good time for the two days that I had in my home. I also have to say that the case that this watch came in was just incredible. The material that covered the case looked and felt like real leather sewn in place. This watch would make an impressive gift right up to and including the box. Oh, I must point out that I did purchase what seems to be the exact same Invicta number 9223 that has a black face instead of a white face. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as pretty as the 9212 because it doesn't have any of the gold lined sub dials and watch hands and the band is brushed stainless steel only. I don't know why Invicta did make an exact same variation of the 9212 but with a black face which I think would have looked nearly as good.

Why all the bad reviews? Invicta 9212
I've only had this watch for a week now, but I'm very happy with it. I wasn't sure what to think after reading all the bad reviews. This watch keeps accurate time! I set it to match the Direct TV clock that comes up on the programs menu. Three days later it matches perfectly down to the second! A lot of the bad reviews were about the chronograph buttons being frozen. This is probably because they didn't read the first page of directions. All three buttons are screwed down to keep water out. They have to be screwed all the way out (to left) before they can be pressed in. Only two of the small dials are for the chronograph.....one is for military time. Some people think that the watch is messed up cuz they can't zero out that dial......Doh! So you should know that this watcht only displays the seconds and minutes for the chronograph.....that's all. Adjusting the band is easy with a watch band pin removal tool. You can buy one for just a few bucks. One side of the band pins have a slot in them, which had me thinking at first that the pins screwed out. Wrong.....there is also an arrow on the inside of the band which means that they need to be punched out Another bad review was because the guy couldn't get the case apart to replace the battery. He said that he even took it to a competent repair guy, and that guy couldn't get it apart. All you need is a cover remover that only costs around $10. It has three small pins that fit into the grooves on the rear cover. Then you simply unscrew it. There were a lot of bad reviews that complained about Invicta having terrible customer service. Maybe this is true, I don't know. I doubt if I will ever have to deal with them because the watch seems very well made to me. So that doesn't concern me. If I encounter any problems in the next 2 years, I will update this review.

Another great watch by Invicta
I have been a fan of Invicta watches for a long time, they are good quality watches (for the money), their automatic with NH35A is a monster of a machine, so I decided to try this one, I like the weight, the feel and the looks, the screw down buttons is a plus to avoid water leakage - overall the watch meets my expectations for the price, lumen and crystal have been, to me, a downside, but then again, for the price we are paying, what do you expect - nice watch, inexpensive, great gift

INVICTA MENS SPEEDWAY CHRONO WATCH.
I only just received this watch and am highly impressed by its looks and weight. On one hand it feels like a professional piece and on the other its size and careful use of the gold circlets and surround of the unit makes it look like an expensive dress watch. I usually do not like the blend of gold and silver on bracelets but this watch married the colour and design very well, and I like it. The only negative I have is that the stop watch function had me baffled as I expected the sweep second hand to stop /go rather than the small circlet at 6 O' clock. The function here is a bit fidgety but it does not really worry me as I did not but it to measure speed/time, I bought it because it was so well priced I just had to buy it and am pleased I did. I like a watch to feel solid and weighty and this one is just that, looks great without being too ostentatious. Stan Chun Wellington New Zealand

Gorgeous, substantial upscale watch for an amazing sale price
Rating: 5 stars This is a gorgeous watch with real presence. It's a good size but doesn't overwhelm my wrist. The bezel is shiny gold plated while the body of the watch is stainless steel. The bracelet is an elegant two-toned gold and steel affair with shiny gold links along the centre and polished steel ones along both edges. The watch face is white, which makes it particularly easy to read at a glance. The hands are luminous edged in gold. There are also three small round dials inside the face, one for elapsed seconds, one for elapsed minutes and one for elapsed hours. In addition there is a date window set into the edge of the face between the 4 and 5 pm positions. There are three turn controls on the side of the bezel that are of the screw down type to preserve this watch's watertightness. The Invicta feels solid but the weight isn't noticeable on the wrist. The bracelet is very flexible and the links will bend back on each other. The bracelet also feels very solid, as if it would last for decades without wear. I did find that the clasp fits very tightly, to the point that I was wondering whether I'd be able to unlatch it without help. I'll get it resized tomorrow and will see if we can get the catch to open a little more easily too. The tag on the watch gave its price as $375 and if that's true this is an incredible bargain from Amazon.ca. I love the look and the feel of this watch and expect to wear it often. I will revisit this review after I've lived with this watch for a while, especially if I end up having a reason to revise the rating. Until then, I see no negatives to this timepiece.

I would like to say that I am not a watch collector ...
First off, I would like to say that I am not a watch collector and I am not the most familiar with half-decent watches. I am merely writing this review from your everyday consumer's standpoint. First off I would like to say that I appreciated that packaging. It came in an amazing case(although the colour is a bit weird), and the watch was sitting in a padded area with some papers. I know that a lot of people have complained about the manual that comes with the watch, as it is not custom made for the specific watch... it is rather a manual that has info for all of Invicta's watches. Now this didn't bother me all that much seeing that if you look at the manual for 20 seconds, you will find the page or your specific type of watch. Now, onto the watch. It made a great first impression. The weight is on point, and I found all of the small details on it clean and well done. Now I have small wrists, but after popping a couple links out, I was fine. I do recommend getting a kit for removing the pins for the links seeing as it made my job a lot easier. I put the watch on, and It looked great. Not too small, but plenty big for me. I will say that If you are into huge watches, look elsewhere. Now, I have only recently received the watch, but no problems have occurred. It works amazingly, and I have gotten several comments thanks to it. If my mind is changed in any way, I will be sure to edit this review, but for now it is just fine!

Definitely a quality Watch which looks expensive!
I liked The detailing in the watch as close as a rolex . Its a slightly heavy watch and gives a classic feel. Both a pro and a con is ots heaviness but i like to keep it heavy. Its a quality product butbif in case need servicing then h will have to ship it to INVICTA Florida US which will cost you a new invicta watch ๐. I am satisfied with the watch.
