I purchased the AccuSharp Knife Sharpener after trying several other sharpeners that simply didn’t work as well as I had hoped. This one caught my attention because it looked different from the others, and the affordable price made it worth trying. I’m glad I did because this is by far the best knife sharpener I’ve used. It sharpens my knives quickly and effectively, and it’s incredibly easy to use. In most cases, I only need to run the knife through it a few times before the blade is noticeably sharper. Another thing I appreciate is its compact size. It doesn’t take up much storage space, and it’s lightweight and easy to handle. For such a simple tool, it makes a big difference in the kitchen. It has become one of my favorite kitchen gadgets, and I find myself reaching for it regularly. If you’re looking for an affordable knife sharpener that actually works, this one is definitely worth considering.

I have struggled over the years to sharpen my kitchen knives. I've tried water stones and oil stones but i just can't hold the proper angle consistently enough over the full blade length. Others can comment that I don't practice enough, or have bad technique, but in the end that traditional method doesn't work for me. I've tried a Lansky method and that isn't the best, at least not for me. Most reviews down grade this product because of the amount of material removed for every sharpening. This is true, it does make metal shavings at every pass. BUT I DON'T CARE BECAUSE MY KNIFE IS STUPID SHARP. I don't have super expensive knives. If you do, maybe this product isn't for you. For my knife set I can get a very sharp blade quickly and easily. The tips always seem to go dull first and this thing can sharpen just the tips. It does a great job and it is now my go to sharpener. Great product.

Maybe this isn't the best tool out there, especially for very fine and costly knives, but I don't have anything in that category. It works so well - all of my so-so knives were as dull as a butter knife, and this little tool got them all quite sharp in a short time with minimum effort. Just a few swipes of each knife and they were all sharper than new. Its size lets you store it in small, convenient locations, and the safety strap works well to prevent injury. You should really wipe and rinse the knives after sharpening and carefully clean the counter and floor in the area where the tool is used as it does produce metal dust, which can hurt if it gets rubbed into your skin.

Works well but its size limits use on my smaller scissors and garden pruners.

I was amazed at how sharp my knives came out......and quickly with no effort. I just threw away my $245 electric sharpener...it is worthless compared to this handy sharpener. GREAT tool at an unbelievably low price! Highly recommend!

I first learned about them from a 5‑star chef whose cooking classes I took in Atlanta, and they outperform any electric or dual‑disc sharpener I’ve tried. Follow the instructions with a gentle but firm pull of the knife, and you’ll get excellent results. The blue plastic on the handle protects your hand while you hold the white base steady on the countertop and draw the blade through. It takes less than two minutes to sharpen a knife, and the edge holds for a month or more. The price is outstanding for what it delivers, and its compact size makes it easy to store in a drawer. Sharp knives make cooking far more enjoyable.

Wow, this is a great little kitchen knife sharpener! (and i've tried just about everything including wet stones!) I first purchased the original white AccuSharp as it was advertised as a sharpener for "chef’s knives, paring knives, serrated knives, filet knives, cleavers – you name it", keeping mind I have a lot of different knives in my cooking arsenal, so it sounded very versatile. After one attempt to sharpen my basic Chef's knife I found it had no edge at all. I was so disappointed (and my good old Ultimate Edge sharpener was pretty shot). Then I remembered seeing the 15 degree Gourmet model was an option when I was looking at the AccuSharp models, so Lucky for me Amazon was kind enough to let me do an even exchange! and Wow I can't thank you enough! It has been perfect for all my cooking knives (Chef's, Santoku, boning, paring, steak...), it's just a simple, quick, effective sharpener. The original model may work for Machetes, cleavers, and larger blades, but if you want to sharpen your cooking knives get this one! Thank You Amazon for the wonderful customer service, as always!!!

Works fantastically not only for knives, but machetes and swords as well. Would wholeheartedly recommend to any that want a great working edge on their blades for a minimum of effort. Practically a steal for the asking price.

Ho acquistato questo affilacoltelli perché cercavo un sistema semplice e veloce, senza dover utilizzare pietre per affilare o altri metodi più impegnativi. Per le mie esigenze si è rivelato un ottimo acquisto. Naturalmente non offre un'affilatura professionale come quella ottenibile con tecniche più avanzate, ma compensa ampiamente con la praticità.
