3rd Fury
I have liked & used Surefire flashlights for a long time. My first experience with this brand extends back to my military days with the Navy as a small arms specialist. As my headline displays, this is my 3rd fury. With the addition of the intellibeam this Fury gets plenty of use. From closeup to long reach for search & rescue this light makes the grade. I see a lot of comments about not having a proper pouch for carrying. I found this Maxpedition Flashlight Pouch 1" Diameter 5" to work rather well. The flashlight fits perfectly and the belt loop will fit a duty belt. The belt loop is 3”. This is the only thing I don’t like about it because I normally carry it on a regular jeans belt. The only other complaint about this sheath that the Velcro is not as strong as others I’ve used in the past. The stitching and quality meet maxpedition’s quality standards (although made in China). The light itself is amazing. The quality is impeccable & and the throw of the 1500 lumens is an honest 1500, not like Chinese crap that promises to do the same. The light is great & the sheath is one of the best out there. Update: battery failure. Well my Surefire embarrassed me next to China light at work. I work in engineering. Was doing a hvac inspection today at work. The Surefire died unexpectedly. My $10 China light bailed me out. When I got home I plugged in the usb. 10 minutes later both red & green lights were lit at the same time. Battery failure I assume. The battery was not dead, it malfunctioned. The saddest part of this story is my faith in Surefire being the most dependable flashlight is damaged. It was the original battery that came with the light and had about 5 charges on it. Take it for what it’s worth. I’m sure Surefire corporation don’t care.

Fantastic flashlight
I have had several Surefire flashlights, including the other 1500 lumen DF but this one takes the cake. It always gives me the perfect amount of light I need. I can read with it and it instantly and seamlessly adjusts the light for distance just as advertised. One reviewer was not happy that he couldn't adjust the maximum brightness but he should have done some research before he bought a $200 flashlight. Buyers should certainly be aware that 1500 lumens is brilliantly bright before they buy it. The quality is excellent and I couldn't be happier. But the Surefire 18650 that comes with the light proved to be unreliable even with a fresh charge. After a few episodes of this into the trash it went. All my Orbtronic 18650s work flawlessly. Well done Surefire! UPDATE: It's been several months since I got this wonderful flashlight and I am as impressed now as I was when I first bought it. It sees daily use at several distances ranging from one foot to infinity. Especially appreciated is its ability to instantly and seamlessly change its output while putting out just the right amount of light in any situation. There is not much Surefire could do to improve it.

Sure fire makes the best.
Surefire is by far, the best and most reliable flashlight maker on the market. Used by military and police forces the world over, I own several and recently purchased the Fury, as it offers rechargeable batteries. Using brand new, recyclable lithium batteries gets very expensive quickly. The rechargeable battery is a huge money saver. The simple push button tail cap provides low lumen output, the 1,500 lumen high output is incredibly bright. Highly recommended.

Great Flashlight But Had a Battery Problem
The flashlight was my third Surefire and was exactly as described. Unfortunately it only develops full specifications with the included Surefire SF18650B 3.6V 3600mAh 12.6 Wh battery. Surefire says this battery is rated at 3000 discharge/recharge cycles. Mine only lasted for about 6 cycles in a one year period. It is now dead and will not recharge. I called Surefire customer service and was told a replacement battery would be sent. Many months later I have not received it. The flashlight works with a pair of Surefire 123A batteries but is not to the same specifications.

Excellent light!
I have been wanting to get one of these and the only reason is the price. But it’s a Surefire and you get what you pay for. I am a law enforcement officer with 24 years in and a light on your duty belt is a must. This has more than enough power to light up any area and the dual power option is great to have. I also put the Thyrm Switchback on it which is also a game changer. If you don’t mind the price it’s one of the best handheld lights you can own. Highly recommend!

Worked good after cleaning batter connections
The first night I tested it, it flickered and once shut off. The next day I removed the battery and cleaned both ends. The next night I tested it and it worked fine. Also note that the safety tailcap is fairly hard to completely tighten. Now it functions good. Dims down at close range and steps up to high the further away. It is bright and throws a nice wide pattern. You can force high, but you can’t force a lower setting. That is not a problem for my use.

Great flashlight, just need to find accessories to fit it
This is the nicest, most bright flashlight I've ever owned. I know it's not the brightest period, just that I've ever owned. That said, I wish it had a connection point to hook a lanyard to it. I hope I can find a holster or something so I can carry it on my belt or something.

Great flashlight for indoors or cities
I definitely hesitated before buying this. My last Surefire is a Fury from maybe 2010? it's great but definitely not as bright as some of Olights offerings. I'm very glad I made this purchase. The intellibeam feature is phenomenal inside a house. I use this on a daily basis and the stepping feature is perfect for up close or longer distances. It definitely depends on the surface. If it is dark or absorptive the beam will automatically go higher then you'll need versus concrete or white walls that reflect a lot back. If you live in the suburbs or the country, outside this is probably going to be running very high all of the time simply because there's nothing to reflect off of. It's definitely more responsive in a city with buildings, street signs, and walls because of the bounce. Being able to immediately go to high mode with a single click is a great feature for those annoyed with the intellibeam making decisions for them. Finally being able to feed this CR123 or 18650 batteries is a dream. Surefire for the longest time forced us to use CR123. Many of my lights run on 18650 batteries which provide longer run times, more power, and are rechargeable so the cost stays low. I'm glad they finally caught up with the times and gave us this light with the option to run either.

Genial!

Didn’t work
The product did appear to be good but the rechargeable battery would not charge so I returned for a refund I received a refund but found on a re order the price was lifted by 20% So didn’t order Very disappointing Trevor

Great light, even better customer service
I bought the SureFire Fury Intellibeam because I wanted a tough, reliable flashlight that adjusts brightness on the fly — and it delivers. The beam is powerful, the build is like a tank, and it just feels premium in hand. That said, I had a bit of a hiccup getting it to turn on at first. Thought maybe I got a dud. Reached out to SureFire support and honestly, they were amazing. Quick replies, super helpful, and got me sorted without any hassle. Turns out it was user error (whoops), but they never made me feel dumb for asking. All in all, this light is a beast, and the customer service just seals the deal. Totally worth the price. Five stars all the way.

Great light, poor QC
I bought this light from Amazon US through Amazon UK. This is by far the most expensive light I own and bought it as a treat to myself. It took weeks for Amazon US to even despatch the order much to my dismay (once despatched it arrived quickly but for some reason they waited weeks to send it). And then when it arrived It had a chip in the reflector, not big enough to make a difference to its performance but big enough to stick out like a sore thumb every time I look at it. Now this really annoys me, as for the money I paid and from a company as great as surefire I would expect nothing short of perfection. I was going to return it for a replacement but did not want to wait the god knows how long it would have taken to do so given how long it took to get to me in the first place. If it had been sold and supplied to me by amazon uk I would definitely have done so. The light itself works brilliantly and the intelibeam function is faultless. Also the section of the reflector cut out to allow for the sensor despite being visible does not spoil the beam pattern. Great light, shame mine was not perfect.
