Jansal Valley Chipotle Morita Chile Powder, 20 Ounce

This was a bargain price for ground chilpolte pepper. I paid $9 for a small bottle from the local grocery before thinking to come to Amazon to see what the prices are. This is every bit as good as the expensive grocery store spice. I use it in my BBQ rub. It gives it a nice unique flavor that compliments the smoke.

My local warehouse store stopped carrying Chipotle Powder, and my family uses so much, that nothing but a warehouse sized container will do. I use this product like most people use paprika. Fried Chicken? Got to have some Chipotle Mayo. Roast Beef or steak? Substitute this for paprika - it adds a nice kick. Roasted Potatoes? - it really make them yummy. I prefer the taste of this product more than the brand that the warehouse carried. This large size presents an excellent value - and I can use as much as I want without worrying about running out.

A little goes a long way because it has a lot of heat. Great pepper flavor. Sweetness and smokiness just like chipotle should. Great on chicken, pork roast, and ribs.

Great value for the money. I love chipotle powder. We go through tons of it in this household. Almost more then smoked paprika. This has decent flavor, wasn’t close to expiration date (1/11/2023). Product came sealed which is important. Most chipotle powders that I have tried have a nice Smokey taste with a chocolate backnote, and some heat. This doesn’t have as much Smokey flavor as I would like. It also have a lot more heat then most chipotle powders I have tried. It’s almost like they put a ton of heat in there to make up for a lack of flavor. It’s not my favorite chipotle powder I have ever tried. But good chipotle powders can be very expensive. With the amount our family goes through some sacrifices have to be made 😆. By no means is this a bad item. I’m just a spice snob, and I can pick up littlest flavor notes in things that some might not notice. Most of my family and friends call me picky, I say I just a super taster. That’s what allowed me to do well in the food industry for years 😉.

I. Love. Chipotle. SO MUCH. It makes cooking tasty vegan dishes all the easier, and so much more flavourful. I'd gotten hooked on whole dried chipotles, then the store I bought them from suddenly stopped stocking them. This was a good deal, because a little of the powder goes a long way. Definitely loving this- I'd happily order it again.... When I eventually finish my current bottle....

After binge watching beat Bobby flay, we've bought several ingredients we've seen on there. This, harissa, and calabrian chilis are our three favorite ingredients we've learned about. If you like bold, and heat, get you some of this! Oh don't forget the smoked paprika!

Tremendous value. Great tasting spice . Have used it in my chili, and it works wonders. I use it in conjunction with regular chili powder.

This is great stuff. I put it in almost eveethinf I make including the eggs salad I make for breakfast. I use it to refill a smaller container I had chipotle powder in before getting this big container.
