Now you can carry your entire makeup bag in one portable booklet with Mai Couture Like A Diamond Trio. With three of Mai Couture's best-loved makeup and blotting papiers in one convenient booklet flawlessness is now always at hand. Includes 20 sheets of each shade. 60 sheets total. Review: Noticeable Difference - Mai Couture Trio, Like A Diamond has been a handy addition to my beauty routine. This set covers my highlighting and blush needs with ease at home or on the go. The highlighter is Crystal Cove followed by blushes Sunset BLVD and Studio City. There are 20 sheets of each shade. I have an olive skin tone and found all shades to show up without being faint, over bearing, or too shiny. After having applied the blush and highlighter, my husband took notice right away and said my make up looked really nice. This is something I rarely hear from him. So, it's noticeably improved my look! I feel these shades are a great boost and refresher when when my other layers of make up seem to be fading later in the day. The booklet is small so it can easily be tucked away into my purse cosmetic bag with ease. I've not had the inner sheets make a mess or come out of place. As for application, I found the delicate paper sheets easy to use. I had feared that it would be difficult o apply but it was super simple. I typically use just half a sheet per application. In the back of the book, there's are written step-by-step instruction as well as two illustrations that demonstrate how to apply both the blush and highlighter. I really like there's no need for me to carry around make up application brushes and that this set is free from parabens and talc! I would recommend this product and believe if you feel it's for you to invest in the Mai Couture Papier Wallet. The wallet can give this book extra protection and free the mind of make up getting anywhere you'd prefer it not to. Review: Some Uses But Also Some Problems - This has its uses, but it's not something that I would ever replace my normal make-up regime with. First, the colors (blush and highlighter) aren't going to work for everyone. I have porcelain skin and, for me, the colors were just okay. Like they would do in a pinch, but a real pinch...and only as a touch up (in addition to my base make-up...after a long flight for example, or a day at the beach before dinner, or going right from work to dinner out). In that kind of capacity it can actually be very useful and helpful (reminds me a bit of the old oil blotter tissue paper packets). Which brings me to point #2...you remember what happened to those packets of blotter tissues??? Well, mine always ended up destroyed, dirty, and unusable at the bottom of my purse. Maybe it's just me. This is structured in the same way. Unless you keep it somewhere safe in your purse...it's going to get rumpled or possibly destroyed. Like the blotter tissue packets, this isn't constructed out of materials that will hold up in the banging around of our bags (although it is slightly bigger than the blotter tissue packs...about the size of a credit card). The tissues on the inside...they are perforated, you tear what you want out, and rub it on your face (they areas you need to touch up or paint). The make-up does have a bit of sparkly to it...which I love...but most people..not so much (so be aware of that). The rubbing the tissue on the face is not so awesome...the consistency of the paper is somewhere between parchment paper and the tissue paper you shove into gift bags to pretty them up. I'd prefer to apply it using a brush...which I tried...and it worked...but that kind of defeats the "ease" of the instrument (if you have to haul around a brush with your make-up tissues). In the end...I'd maybe nab one if I were going to be traveling and was really concerned about showing up all fresh and clean or staying pretty throughout the trip. But to have and use on a regular basis...not so much. It *is* convenient, but it's not going to be better than actually using your make-up AND it's likely to get damaged if your toting it around for any length of time. And for those reasons...it's expensive. You might use a quarter of the papers for touch-ups before it gets gross in your bag. Wouldn't be worth the money in that case.

Handy little makeup booklet
I wasn't sure how i'd like this idea, or how well it would perform, butt after trying it I actually think it is a neat idea and a nice item to carry in your purse for a touch up or a quick application without the need for various compacts and brushes. The pack is about the same size as a pack of blotting papers, so it won't take up much room at all in a purse or makeup bag. There are 3 colors in the pack - a highlighter and 2 blushes. The papers actually apply pretty nicely, which was surprising. The thickness of the paper is just slightly thicker than blotting papers, so they are easy to work with. The colors are actually nice. I as afraid the papers would deposit too much color, but they don't. I am fair skinned and I feel like they deposit the perfect amount of color on the first swipe. You can use another sheet to get it darker if you'd like. The blushes are peachy/coral toned and just look really nice. I think these shades flatter any skin tone really. They are not very shimmery at all, but not totally matte, either - I think they are perfect. The highlighter reminds me of the highlighter in my Lancome Blush Subtil Palette - I have the Plum Elegance palette. It is not a bright white, but a nice neutral, pale beige-ish. It is shimmery of course, since it is a highlighter. So, you tear off a sheet and basically just swipe it in the area that you want to use it. I usually use one end on one side and then flip it and do the other side with the other end. The sheets are pigmented enough to only need one sheet per application and you don't even need to do any blending. Whoever created these and determined the amount of color to have on the sheets did an excellent job. You can even use the sheets on your eyes if you want or need to. I like this little booklet because it is so easy to carry around and have the ability to pop on some makeup quickly. It is great for after the gym, or if out and about and you feel like the situation calls for a little sprucing up. It won't replace my daily make up items, but I have definitely used the sheets while on the go and to freshen up. I think it is a great product and it performs better than I thought it would. The colors are nice and they go on very evenly - not too heavy at all. You won't be stuck trying to tone it down and you won't have a clown face makeup job.

little book
I like having this little book with me. It can add just a touch of color and shimmer to my face, and it does not take a lot of space. There is no danger of a jar opening and spilling contents into my purse. The paper is a bit rough on my skin, though, it is fine when it is flat, but when it crumbles, it tends to have sharp edges on creases, and it feels uncomfortable. The color is quite sheer, and I like that I am not in danger of looking like clown if I am applying it in darker conditions. It adds just a touch of natural color, and I just love that

Not a product I'd buy again
The Mai Couture Like a Diamond Trio is highlighter and blush on thin paper slips together in one packet, designed for quick easy use “on the go.” In theory (or, “on paper” if you will – ha!) it sounds like such a neat idea. Unfortunately in practice it’s anything but. The first thing I noticed was that the dust goes everywhere. This is not something I’d want to carry around in one of my nice handbags, because I can imagine the product staining the lining. My second issue was that I found the papers to be hard to handle. It’s actually a bigger problem with the highlighter sheets, since when applying blush you’re generally trying to get the color in a larger area. I had a hard time getting the highlighter where I wanted it. I had to fold and bend the sheets in an attempt to get the look I was going for, and wound up with more product on my fingers than on my face. With both the highlighter and the blush, I still had to blend the product with a brush anyway because of the harsh lines I ended up with – which I thought defeated the point of the papers…? I did like the highlighter color very much. I’m very fair and it looked quite nice on my skin. The rosier blush was lovely, as well. I don’t wear blush on a daily basis, but it also looked nice with my coloring. The other blush was a bit too orangey for my taste. This is not a product I would get again, especially for $24.00 for a packet. That’s a bit more than I want to pay for a product when more is going to end up on my fingers, dressing table, and floor than on my face.

works best on FAIR to LIGHT skintones; travel-friendly but needs a latch to keep papers intact
I love the concept of this -- 3 types of powder shimmer/blush in a handy book. But the blush is so light, it works best on fair skins and though it's natural (because it's so sheer), it takes a lot of pressing to deposit onto the skin. What I do is keep it on my vanity and use a brush to get more payoff and deposit. The shimmers are small particle pearl (no chunky glitter or sparkles), for adding a "glow" to cheekbones. I find the two shimmer shades very similar and almost interchangeable. Although i love anything travel friendly, the book has no latch! So the book can fall open at any time in your bag with the "pages" rubbing product all over your bag and other stuff. Terribly designed. And yes, there is a carrying case with button closure (a "Papier Wallet"), but who wants to buy that overpriced piece plastic at nearly $20?

Quick, neat, no brushes!
What a unique idea! These are similar to blotting paper, but they are for applying highlights. The idea is to tear out a page and smooth it over your skin. There are three colors; a lovely light gold, a pinkish coral and a very light pink. All are very shimmery. This particular package is very light and so was barely noticeable on my medium light skin. This package would work if you are looking for very subtle, sheer highlights. The paper is about the consistency of gift tissue. Application took a little getting used to, as I tended to crinkle the paper up as I was trying to apply. After a few tries, I was able to do it while keeping the paper mostly smooth. The booklet that the pages are in is just a cardstock thickness paper, so it didn't take long for it to get a little rough looking and bent in my purse. If this is something that bothers you, you might want to consider getting the Papier Wallet to protect your booklet.

pigment quality excellent, colors are flattering, and the whole idea works better than I thought it would
These are pretty nifty. I was really skeptical about the idea of carrying blush and highlighter in a little booklet, but after trying them, they work pretty well. The biggest drawback is something other reviewers have mentioned, which is the lack of control without a brush or the usual foam applicator. This isn't a big problem with the blushes, since those are usually applied lightly around the cheekbones anyway with a brush or small puff, but with the highlighter, you usually want finer control for contouring. You can fold and twist the papers to get some control, but then you also get more pigment on your hands. However, if you can forsake a little control for more convenience and more room in the purse, these papers are a great option. I was also wary because I was worried about pigment density. The pigment quality is actually quite nice -- not too glittery, not too heavy (heavily pigmented blushes are hard to apply because they can too easily look overdone or doll-like), and very fine and smooth. The highlighter and blush are easy to dab on and also easy to remove. I'd say it's above drugstore quality, for sure. The two blushes and highlighter are all natural-looking, fresh-faced hues, more suitable for daytime looks than nighttime. Light application results in a light or "no makeup" look, just perking up the face a little. Staying power is okay. Like regular blush and highlighter, use of a primer beforehand will make it longer-lasting. The "Like a Diamond" trio had good neutral choices. One third of the sheets were a golden, shimmery highlighter, one third were a warm-toned coral/peach blush, and the last third were a cooler, light pink blush. The shimmer is more obvious with heavier application. They are all flattering, although for darker skin tones, a more intense palette might be better. My skin tone is a medium beige, slightly olive, and these all worked well for me. Definitely worth trying if you are curious or want a more lightweight way to carry blush/highlighter.
