I usually have a good experience with Starwest and this batch did not disappoint. I buy the seeds whole and grind them in smaller batches as needed. The aroma was pungent as cumin is. It tastes great my homemade steak seasoning mix. For years I avoided cumin (let's be frank....to me it smells like armpits) but it is really good in chili and steak seasoning - it has an umami that is indescribable. I buy a package this size about every 9 months.

Let me start by saying that I am a Culinary Arts graduate and have worked in the culinary field for years. I purchased this product for my own personal use, its BBQ season, and was thrilled to find an organic seed at this price. My go to spice supplier is usually Frontier due to how easy it is to find at local markets. The Starwest cumin is far superior to what Frontier offers in local markets and I am happy to have so much of it. From the moment I opened the bag I could smell the richness of the cumin and could see the slight shine of the oils still in tact. I am very pleased with the product and will order again next years BBQ season.

I buy most of my herbs from this company and have never been disappointed. I go through a lot of Cumin and love grinding it in a grinder and putting it in my food. Smells divine and is of excellent quality.
