Written Self Therapy Session called Brain Hacking
It was't that good on the book. I couldn't figure out why I found the book average and everyone else loved it. The book comes from the angle of a practicing psychologist with lots of exercise that she renames Brain Hacks (to sound more accepting and cool I guess) I literally read the book two times and skimmed it a third time. It finally hit me that over the last 50 years I've read and viewed the contents from those that came before. From "Unlimited Power" exercises in NLP and visualizing with Tony Robbins to goal planning and handling emotions related to procrastination in the book "Working Smart" by Michael LeBoeuf, Mastering the Information Age” by Michael McCarthy not to mention the countless YouTube videos by Dr Jordan B. Peterson and Dr Eric Thomas. So, what does Lara Honos-Webb PhD bring to the table that the others don't? Apparently, a marketing gimmick for a written self-therapy session with ideas that have been around for decades. Take out Brain Hacking out of the content and you have old school therapy. She's even promote readers to start "Brain Hack" clubs because to do many of the exercises require two people and your friends and family are only going to tolerate so much one on one therapy sessions. The world doesn't revolve around the individual and others do have their lives to live. As a first book on the subject of human performance for millennials, it's an okay book but there are better books out there to start with. Dr Jordan B Peterson said that there's always something to learn even from those you don't want to hear. I did learn about bullet journals (millennial rediscovering the Day Planners of the 1980s) and a small section on Entropy that was interesting. So it wasn't a total loss. By the way, a real Brain or Body Hack is something like getting a brain freeze and pressing your thumb to the roof of your mouth to reduce the pain. That's a hack and it works.

Great book
Useful and to the point which is more than I can about many other self help books. Several different techniques to help and work on.

Helpful tools
This is a book that is really meant to be used consistently and for you to keep going back to. It's got a few different tools that at least gives you a variety to do trial and error and see if it works for you. They also have prompts/questions to help you process through a lot. I would recommend to others.

Praktisch wie kein anderes
This is a really great book for people with or without adhd who want to start executing there intentions. I have read a lot of these kinds of books and this is the best one that I have come across so far. It has a lot of practical tips that were new or interesting that I did not come across in other selfhelpbook

Straightforward advice.
I recently discovered the term Executive Function disorder. My 30 year old nephew has just been diagnosed with ADHD. I can’t spell but apparently I’m not dyslexic! I am terrible at time keeping & other issues that distress me. Completing the assessment pin-points my issues and this book might help me achieve my long put-off goals. I think you need to read it a few times and put the advice into practice. So I’m off to read it again, slowly & apply the advice which seems clear & practical.

Deserves to be a bestseller
I am surprised at the lack of love for this book shown by some of the reviewers here. Honestly, I found it to be much better than a lot of books written by management gurus. It really has helped me become more focused and organised.

interesting if you’re new to these concepts
If these concepts are new to you then this is an easy to read and useful reference book. If you’re used to self-improvement techniques, then I would suggest there’s nothing new here.

Brain hacks
First book I’ve ever read around this kind of self help subject and was most surprised at how I enjoyed reading it and that it made complete sense. I have certainly applied some of it to my working life and have no doubt I will refer back to it occasionally when I feel the need to adjust again. Would totally recommend this book!
