The short answer is "yes;" the more explicative one is that Tocotrienols are members of the vitamin E family. Vitamin E is a collective term for molecules of a certain structure; it made up of four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta). Both groups of the vitamin E family act as antioxidants. However, the tocotrienols (known as the "natural vitamin E") are a more powerful antioxidant due to their unique molecular structure. Annatto Tocotrienols is a unique tocopherol-free, tocotrienols-only product. A recent study at the University of Georgia and published in the Food Chemistry Journal in Feb of 2015 indicates that vitamin E tocotrienols from annatto may be better antioxidants than tocopherol-tocotrienol mixtures (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0308814614011467). So, while "comparable," Annatto Tocotrienols is actually a more potent substance.

Why are these called "annatto" tocotrienols if they are derived from palm oil?

Okay, this is not incorrect information that was stated in the previous answer. There is a difference between palm oil and red palm oil. There are great cardiovascular health benefits in red palm oil and this is where the tocotrienols come from. Please don't get the effects palm oil and red palm oil confused. Do your research and see that this product does state accurately the source of its tocotrienols--from red palm oil. Google it!

Yes.  This is the most economical Tocotrienol on a per mg basis i could find.  I consume 4 softgels along with three 30 mg Tocotrienol softgels from Kyani which has other ingredients to improve efficiency of absorption.  FYI, Tocotrienols should not be taken within 4 hours of having taken Tocopherols if you are taking Tocotrienols for therapeutic purposes.
