Guru is a great alternative to monster lo carb, having drank my fair share of monsters I do enjoy them, but I think I enjoy these more. I find the taste enjoyable, but some people don't like stevia. It's not too harsh and has refreshing flavor (which I won't try to identify because I am terrible at that) The energy in this seems cleaner than monster with less of a crash as others reported, because instead of just caffeine anhydrous, this uses a blend of guarana, ginseng, and gingko biloba for energy. It also has echinacea :) All in all it's a great energy drink and even better than monster because I dont' have to worry about artificial sweeteners like sucralose and Ace-k. Just make sure you stock up as it's quite difficult to find locally.

My husband and I are in a serious, committed relationship -- with GURU. We are absolutely love it. (Ok, we're straight up in love with each other, too ... highly recommend falling in love with your best friend ... 33 years and still going strong.) We discovered GURU years ago, and are thrilled to see a great product AND a great company, succeed like this. I am overly sensitive to regular coffee. Coffee gives me the jitters ... the kind that make me want to chew on paperclips. But GURU'S caffeine is buffered with all the good stuff in the green tea. It revs me up in a MUCH smoother way. I don't know how to describe the flavor -- kind of a tropical punch? Carbonated, but not overly so. (It somehow retains a fair amount of carbonation if I happen to leave a can open overnight.) But the BEST part? It got my husband off the typical energy drinks (which are loaded with nasty ingredients). As the can says, "...crafting Guru with natural organics .... 100% Crap Free." That does it all for us!

Amazing taste and very effective! I bought this energy drink for my girlfriend. She's vegan and this her favorite pre-workout energy drink. I tried it for the Lite for first time and fell in love! I work late nights at the office sometimes and this kept me going. GURU Lite is very tasty and refreshing, especially on a hot day. Unlike most Stevia sweetened drinks, the taste is well balanced with no bitter aftertaste. There's a nice lemony flavor and the carbonation is on-point. I don't usually drink energy drinks, but this one is an exception to the rule. It's organic, low calorie, non-GMO and contains ingredients that I can actually trust. Another big bonus I noticed is that I did not experience a crash afterwards. I read that this has to do with the fact that they use naturally-occurring caffeine from Green Tea and Guarana. I don't know why you would drink any other energy drink than this. Definitely loading up on these again soon!

I wanted a natural energy drink because artificial sugar causes bloating in the stomach. But could not drink this. Makes me vomit taste like worse than a cough medicine.

If you're anything like me, you have a busy life, and getting 8+ hours of sleep every night just doesn't happen. Made with Stevia instead of all those "let's all wait for the news story about the horrible health impacts" artificial sweeteners, and containing only ingredients you can actually pronounce (sparking water, lemon juice, cane juice, guarana seed, luo han gua juice, steevia, echinacea, ginko, ginseng)it sounded pretty promising. But what about the energy? Well it works, I took my first sip, went "oh well, crap, doesn't work" and then 2 minutes later I was awake! No jitters, no "surge-o-epic caffeine" - just awake. It's refreshing, if you're used to the "wired wired wired wired zing zoom bzzzzz crash!" of normal energy drinks, get ready for one that actually just makes you feel like yourself. Not wired, not tired, not cranky, not crazy, just a couple extra hours of focus as YOU! But what about the flavor? GURU Lite is best described as "not bad", I like it room temperature, you may prefer it chilled. Unlike those commercial heart-attacks-in-a-can, GURU focused on health over sugar-load, so expect a slightly lemony, earthy herbal taste. It is not by an means bad tasting, but it's not like liquid candy, it's a simple, natural flavor that doesn't overwhelm or make you want to chug twenty of them. You drink this for the health and energy, and the taste is secondary. I don't want you to think "oh it tastes bad..." because it doesn't, it's just the taste is definitely not the focus, it's not a soda, it's more like a glass of water - you drink it because you're thirsty, and this, you drink because you are tired and want to be awake. What about the cost? Well, Amazon has the best deal around. I chose the subscribe-and-save option and came home to find a box, wrapped in a clear plastic wrap to protect against rain, two days later. Inside was my case of GURU (which looks exactly like the picture). I found with GURU not only am I drinking fewer of them than I did with Bed Rull, but I'm able to sleep better and of course I'm ending each month with tons of cash in my pocket that is no longer being spent on over-priced, junk-laden commercial "energy". And the best part? I have all the energy I want at hand in a far, far healthier package. Give it a shot today, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I love that it's a mild fruity flavor. 12oz is 142mg of caffeine so there's plenty, but less than a monster drink at 200mg. It doesn't give me the shakes or heart palpations when I drink it on my 30 minute drive in the morning at 430am. Great flavor and cool design. Can't wait to try other flavors. I've only every tried the Lite version. The closest thing I can compare this to is a tart partially sweet cherry with a slight puckering bite to it. If that sounds like your thing, this is the energy drink for you! Between the 2g of sugar and tart flavor it seems to counter the overly sweet aftertaste that stevia can have. I discovered this while searching for a guarana focused energy drink as I wanted to avoid caffeine crashes like you get from a red bull. I've found that this gives me an amazingly leveled out energy boost and zero crash. All in all, as long as they don't increase the price this will continue to be a staple for me!
