Very good and its do work! Looks like magic to me!
I order this product to try and was sceptical very much regarding if it would work at all!!! By my surprise, it is Really Working! It's do require to wash in cold water and to soak for at least 40 minutes, longer is better, before it will goes to the washing cycle. It do require to be somehowto he recharged on the sunlight every 4 weeks for a day ...I still not sure how it's really works but it does! I have very large loads and will order 2 or 4 more for much better results, but even with one, I used detergent less than 5 times this weeks, for dog bedding and rugs. I have 5-7 large loads a day ! Even washed pillows, very Successfully with it , had it soaked over night ! So far I am happy, I am saving on hot water and amount of detergents I use every day ! Planning give one to my daughter for college use, because it is so easy and safe looks like fir all fabrics. Its perfect especially for small heand washing. Especially for gentle fabric ! And its really nice on fabric as well, looks like its helps the color! Have No smell, no skin reaction, I have very sensitive skin and chemicals always a problem for me, this is looks like magic to me! Just Amazing! Love it! Recommend it ! It comes in nice box so it would be on my Christmas list for friends and family as well !

strong smell at first, not great for stains, but good for everyday dirty laundry
One shopper mentioned a strong chemical perfumey smell at first, and that is present. I only did two loads of laundry with mine and it mostly dissipated, so i'm not worried about it. it didn't transfer to the clothing that i can tell, all my clean laundry just smelled clean, nothing else. i don't usually get stains on my clothing, but the few that i had were mostly gone after washing, though i could still see a hint of where they were. To be fair though, they were stains that my usual laundry detergent doesn't always do well with either, so the bioceramics did a pretty good job! I knew ahead of time i would need to soak these for an hour before doing my laundry, and that's the only real downside to these things. I've read some shoppers didn't do this and had no issue, but i just feel that following the instructions is going to give me better results, even if it's frustrating. There was one article of clothing i put in the wash that i wasn't sure how it would come out. It had a heavy stain from a liquid i'd spilled with a strong odor to it. As previously mentioned, the stain was still faintly there, and unfortunately the smell was also still faintly there, though i'm not sure if pre-washing or adding an extra wash ball would have taken care of that. All in all, if these really hold up as long as they claim to, i will be very happy with the results and would happily buy them again when these wear out.

WORKED REALLY GREAT FOR US!
This item really works! I bought two of them and have only used one so far. I was skeptical at first but after our first load, I was impressed. Even wet, the clothes looked very bright. I also washed our whites too. It was very impressive but I decided to see how well this item really worked by adding a little bit of baking soda to our laundry. We have hard water here where we live. The laundry ball did a great job on all our whites and colors! Also, the baking soda (anywhere from 1 tablespoon to about 1/4 cup) really took the whites load over the edge on white. They came out brilliantly white. The ball worked really good without the baking soda but I wanted to give them the best advantage and softened the water with the baking soda. These laundry balls come with almost a baby powder smell and their are tiny colored ceramic balls in the interior. I use only one ball for our small to large loads and if I have an extra large load, like sheets and a bed cover, I will use two balls. Yeah, I know, it looks like a space station and sounds like a baby rattle but it does the job! I tried to reach the manufacture to find out more about the contents. The seller I purchased mine from did not have any way to contact them on the Amazon market place. So I called Amazon and tried to get my questions answered. Twice. Amazon was not successful at getting me the information on the "80 minerals" ingredients I was looking for. I wanted to be sure there were no carcinagens, carbons, or lead, or anything like that. Although lead is a metal and an element, and we do not consider it a "mineral", I still think that the manufacture could be clearer on these ingredients, particularly because they are labeled "Eco-Friendly". I would have given this five stars but the fact I had so much trouble with trying to find out more about this product, which seems to me to be strange that neither the seller or Amazon would get me the information I was seeking, makes me suspect that perhaps these are not so "Eco-Friendly" afterall. I really am trying to do my research on this. At any rate, I am not using detergent and washing loads of phosphorus down into the pipelines which is a good thing. So far the little ceramic colored balls in there are doing their work and the laundry comes out clean. One note here, we don't have kids and we don't run around and get grease and grass stains on our clothes. Just office work and occasional outdoor hiking, walking, and normal gym type workouts. No heavy stains to clean. However, I wore my white socks around the house and got the bottoms really dirty outside just to test these balls and when I washed them, they came out snow white. No kidding! The balls came in a plastic wrap and a bar code. No instructions or anything. From what I have been reading by other reviewers, just throw this ball in the wash and let it do its thing. Then I asked about the rinse cycle and people answered my question indicating that it can go through the rinse and spin cycle too. Again, instructions would have been helpful and at least a contact number or email for questions. So far this product works good and stands up to its reputation. I don't think you need to buy expensive ones either. This is inexpensive and does the job well for us. I also bought the i-gruv dryer balls (xtra large pack of six) to the dryer and the clothes came out amazing. See my review for that under i-gruve organic wool dryer balls.

I love the idea of these eco-friendly laundry balls
The ball seemed to work fairly well on my dark clothing, but not well at all on the lighter colored laundry. I love the idea of these eco-friendly laundry balls, mostly because I don't love all the chemicals we're wearing on our bodies and bringing into our homes. I wanted to love the laundry ball, but it just didn't appear to clean very well. The description says it doesn't work as well on white and light colored clothing, which proved to be true. But then I have to wonder if it is really cleaning the dark clothing or if you just can't see the dirt it is leaving behind. It didn't get the dirt or mud out of my kids medium-dark colored snowpants, boots, or khaki pants, even when pretreated with stain remover. One thing it had going for it is that the laundry did smell fresh and clean when it came out. I wish this ball could replace laundry detergent in my house, but it just didn't clean well enough for us. I will keep it to use on only lightly-soiled dark-colored clothing such as my work clothes.

Super product! Even works on old stains!
I LOVE these eco-friendly laundry balls. At first, I couldn't imagine doing wash without detergent, bleach, fabric softener, etc. But, I was game for trying them. Initially, I purchased one ball; now I'm using two, and have used them exclusively for at least a year and a half. I feared my clothes would start looking dingy; that stains would not come out; that odors might set, etc. In fact, none of these have happened! Whites are whiter than before; colored items retain their colors much longer; if you use a pre-wash stain spray on tough stains (grease, grass, etc.), they almost invariably disappear. Actually, I had several polyester blend tops that had old stains that relegated them to my only wearing them around the house for doing housework or gardening. I pre-treated those tough stains and in many cases, even those stains came out. My wash smells fresh and when I put throw in the dryer, I use the wool laundry balls also available on Amazon to fluff them up and remove wrinkles. I would recommend these washing balls to anyone. What a savings you have when you don't have to continually purchase laundry products. I notice there are cheaper versions of this product available that do not get good reviews. I will stick with this brand only.

Pseudoscience SCAM-- don't fall for it, please!
Followed the instructions and washed a few towels and a pair of white shorts with it in warm water and neither did anything smell fresher nor look cleaner. It just looked like the clothes were swirled around in water, as they were. The wikipedia article about laundry balls explains very well how they use pseudoscientific claims to trick consumers into buying it and they really do not work any better than washing with hot water alone. Wish I read that sooner. It's all a load of bs. Do not buy it. I'm honestly so disappointed in myself for being stupid enough to fall for it. I think I was just so hopeful that something like this could exist that I just had to try it, but as expected, it's too good to be true. The people who claim to see cleaner clothes after using it only have these results because they used the recommended hot water which on its own, maybe with a golf ball added in the machine to simulate the mechanical effects of these balls, would do the same thing, but never actually clean deeply. If you're worried about the environment, just use a natural laundry detergent! This thing doesn't even save any energy because you're forced to use hot water to get any results. Of course it won't hurt sensitive skin BECAUSE IT DOESN'T ADD OR DO ANYTHING TO THE WATER. And PAY ATTENTION TO THE RETURN POLICY because returns are not allowed, since clearly they don't intend for customers to be satisfied with the product. Please don't fall for it like I did.

Left my clothing fresh and clean
In bought two laundry balls to try them out - this brand and the Green Wash Laundry Ball - Lavender Scented - which is also on Amazon.com. So I used this ball on two loads - the first was a load of super dirty stinky rags and the 2nd a load of dark-colored delicates. After washing, the rags were still stinky so I put them through a second wash with detergent. I probably should have tried washing them with two balls the second time but I needed the rags to clean house. The instructions do say that one ball will wash around 15 pounds of laundry but I have no idea how many pounds are in a full load of laundry so I added the Green Wash Ball and washed the 2nd load with both balls. The 2nd load was dark delicates - including a few cardigans that had noticeable underarm odor - and everything came out clean and fresh smelling - I think that using two balls made the difference - although now I wish I had used two balls of each brand to see if one brand worked better. But I will be using this ball from now on for my delicates - I anticipate this will lengthen the life of my dark delicates which will no longer be subjected to fading from laundry detergent. As for the stinky rags I will keep using detergent for now but I recommend these balls for normal laundry

Work well
Works very well. I wish I had some kind of indicator when it's not working anymore. I believe it said for 1500 washes I never kept count and I don't know if it's still working. I'm not using any longer but I might get another one.

Like it, mostly
I like it, but iffy on crusty stains (left dried oatmeal on a t-shirt). Does seem to get out odors. Instructions seem to say to soak one hour before each use. Others like it only specify soaking before first use.
