I was very surprised at how detailed drawings made with these markers could be. The tips are very fine, but also quite broad at the base. This means that if you draw with the marker positioned vertically the lines it makes are very thin, but the markers can also be used at an angle to color in large areas quickly using the side of the conical tip. The colors were great - very vivid! A NOTE OF IMPORTANCE: these markers work best to draw on HARD-FROSTED surfaces. They are not especially good for drawing on soft frosting. As to drawing on unfrosted cookies, your results will depend on how smooth or rough the surface of the cookie is. I have not tried using the markers to draw on fondant, but I would guess that they work quite well for that too.

Work just like a pen. Was able to write initials on a heart on the trunk of a 4” tree cookie. The dark colors work very well. The pale colors may not be very legible. I have Wilton and Americolor markers and I like these much better. Very fine tip, doesn’t go thick with brief use like I have experienced with other brands. Very pleased to have found such a high quality product.

I received these yesterday and the marker package had already been opened. I carefully pulled out the green marker and it was pretty gunked up at the tip. I decided to try all the markers and the rest of them worked great. On the back of the package the directions said “After use, wipe tip clean with a damp paper towel” so I tried that on the green marker. It worked and the marker works fine. I can’t comment on how long the markers will last. The pens write in a really fine line - will be perfect for writing on cookies as a guide for decorating with icing.

I bought these 3 years ago and still use them! I typically use them to draw on fondant and sometimes the powdered sugar clogs up the tip a bit but if I take a break it’s fully saturated again. None have dried out on me yet and I like how dark the color comes out.

Just opened the package and not one of them worked. They were all dried out and I can’t return them because it’s just after the return date. So no markers and I’m out money

Got these for a cookie project with children. They worked great drawing directly onto sugar cookies (I had intended to ice them but decided it would take too much time) How ever as soon as one child ate one of the cookies, it turned their lips, tongue, and mouth black (because it had black marker on it) I'm not sure if it's the nature of food markers, just these markers, or if it's because we used them on un iced cookies, or because they're supposed to be used more sparingly, but without fail it totally stained the mouths of anyone who ate a colored cookie. It was still a super fun activity and they do totally work.

I got these for a cookie decorating birthday party. They worked perfectly to use drawing on royal iced cookies! They survived all types of coloring. Scribbling and even some stabbing into the cookie. I was worried they got messed up when I witnessed the more aggressive coloring bc I want to use them myself. I colored some cookies after the party and was pleasantly surprised to find them all in excellent working order. The colors are vibrant and they go on smooth.
