There are 2 types of glass screen protectors for curved screens: A) the "no bubble" ones that are curved to fit, thus they only have adhesive on the edges, and B) a flat sheet of glass that is smaller than the screen it's protecting, and has adhesive over the entire screen. That's what this screen protector is. You see, the problem with the "A" protectors is durability. Since they only have adhesive on the edges, they pop off when you drop them, put them in your pocket, or frankly if you sneeze while holding your phone. That's why I prefer THIS screen protector. Yes, I'm giving up some screen real estate around the edges... Big whoop. The fact is, this "B" screen protector will take a beating, keys in the pocket, dropping it down the steps, and it will shatter, so your phone doesn't. If you're picky, and really gentle, you can have the other kind. And I wish you all the best. Me, I'm not gentle. I'm brutal with my phone. Which is why this screen protector is what I need. And when I shatter it, I put another one on and move on with life, without giving good products bad reviews.

It's not really for the Google Pixel 2 XL but it fits. There's a notch at the top middle that makes no sense and makes you suspect this isn't specifically for the Pixel 2XL. The edges don't quite fit the beveled/curved edges of the screen so part of the protector won't contour to the sides of the screens and it sticks up. Unsure if it's because it's not designed for the phone or the curved edges of the phone make it hard for any protector to fit (my first rounded-edge phone). I haven't dropped it yet or tried scratching, so I can't rate it based on any of those.

This was the worst tempered glass screen protector I have used. I had an older protector on it and thought it was time to get a new one. I bought this. When I went to install it, it had lots of those air gaps. I took it off and noticed that they aren't dust on the underside, but actual imperfections in either the glass or the adhesive. I washed it off, dried it and used a lint brush to get any bits of dust off. Still the same issue. I did the same with the old screen protector, cleaning, using the lint brush and it was perfect. I will not buy these again. Even without the imperfections, the screen was too big for the Pixel 2XL. The screen is slightly rounded, so the protector was too big and left air gaps on all sides.
