How does the needle attach to the syringe. Some reviews say it leaks or blows off.

Yes, leaks and blows off. I didn't find the attachment compound applied this way attached very well either. Some things work and some don't.

I purchased the crain 143 syringe to insert henry vinyl repair adhesive into a linoleum bubble. the adhesive seems to be too thick--has it been done?

You may need to thin the adhesive by adding a thinner before you pit it into the syringe. Check with the dealer or manufacturer on which thinner works best. Test by injecting on the surface of a paper towel. The adhesive should move freely thru the syringe.

Has anyone found a better alternative for the syringe that breaks? I have formica laminate on my island that has small bubbles.

How about making a tiny hole before inserting the syringe. If the laminate has glue already you can try heating up the glue again with a heat gun or a blow dryer. Then use a credit card or similar item to push down the laminate so it sticks again. Hope this helps.
