Modern Style Magnets

I’m blown away by how realistic these look. The “hardware” genuinely passes for cast iron, not plastic, and gives our garage doors an expensive, custom look without any actual installation. Pros: Magnets are strong — haven’t budged in months through heat, wind, or rain. Adds a high-end, carriage-house style to a plain garage door. Installation took less than two minutes — literally just stick them on. 10/10 worth the money. One of those inexpensive upgrades that completely transforms your home’s exterior. Just be prepared for young kids to pull these off and stick them back on any old way!

I was looking for ways to enhance my home's curb appeal, as I may be selling it within the next year or so. I had seen these hinges and handles on other garage doors in the area and always thought that they were attractive. I assumed that they were attached to a garage door with screws, so I was pleasantly surprised when I read that they're magnetic and are held in place by magnets (obviously, you must have a metal garage door for these to work). Since I have a metal garage door, I went ahead and ordered a set. Once I decided where to position the four hinges and two handles on my "plain Jane" garage door, I stepped back to the street and was astounded how they completely transformed the appearance of the door. It was a major improvement to my home's curb appeal at a very minimal cost. It took less than 5 minutes to "install" the 6 pieces on the door, and I did not have to drill any holes or otherwise deface the garage door. Although the magnets are not super-strong, the hinges and handles have stayed in place so far. If they start to move around due to harsh weather or garage door vibration, I'll apply a small amount of super glue to keep them in place. I'm more worried that since they're not securely attached to the garage door, they'll be stolen by neighborhood kids (who have already pilfered many of my solar lights and lawn ornaments).

I bought THESE MAGNETS AS WELL AS MAGNETIC WINDOW PANES TO DRESS UP MY PLAIN GARAGE DOOR. I MADE AN EXCELLENT CHOICE IN PURCHASING THESE MAGNETS!!! MY PLAIN WHITE GARAGE NOW LOOK LIKE A MORE EXPENSIVE ONE AND UPON INSPECTION, THEY ALL LOOK REAL. I WILL TAKE A PICTURE OF MY GARAGE SO YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH IT DRESSED UP MY GARAGE AND THESE ARE ALL 8 YEARS OLD! I NEVER EXPECTED THESE RESULTS AND I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED. THESE MAGNETS HAVE A PLASTIC COATING WHICH I BELIEVE HAS PRESERVED THEM SO WELL. UNLIKE METAL HINGES, THERE IS NO RUST AND CLEARLY NO MALFUNCTIONS. IT TRULY LOOKS REAL WITHOUT THE HASSLE OF HAVING TO REPLACE METAL HINGES AND WINDOW PANES. THE PLASTIC COATINGS HAVE NOT PEELED, AND THE SIZES ARE PERFECT TO CREATE THE ILLUSION THAT THEY ARE REAL. YOU ARE UNABLE TO DETECT THAT THEY ARE MAGNETS UNLESS YOU PHYSICALLY PEEL THEM OFF. THERE IS NO INTERFERENCE WITH THE OPENING OR CLOSING YOUR GARAGE DOOR. IN ALL OF THIS TIME, I HAVE NEVER NEEDED TO ADJUST THEM BECAUSE THEY NEVER CAME OUT OF PLACE. I AM ABLE TO LEGITIMATELY SAY THAT THESE ARE OF HIGH QUALITY AND I HAVE PROVEN THE LONGEVITY OF THEM. I RECOMMEND THESE MAGNETS VERY HIGHLY BECAUSE OF THEIR QUALITY, PLASTIC COATING THAT HAS REMAINED INTACT, THE STRENGTH IF THESE MAGNETS, THE DRESSING UP OF A PLAIN GARAGE, AND THE PERFECT SIZES OF THEM. PLEASE BUY WITHOUT HESITATION OR RESERVATION BECAUSE THEY ARE EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED, AND LASTLY, THEIR PROVEN LONGEVITY. A++++++

Look nice. Easy to install. Makes a huge difference in the door

This hardware set is great, so far. Bought 2 sets, and installed them 3 days ago. Cycled garage doors at least 10 times since I installed the hardware (i.e., hinges and handles). All pieces have stayed exactly where I installed them (i.e., they have not moved at all). After 10+ door cycles, the magnets have proven to be plenty strong enough to hold the hardware in-place. After removing the old metal hardware, I filled the screw holes and then thoroughly cleaned the garage door to remove dirt, grime, and rust stains. I don't yet know how the new plastic hardware will hold up in the sun (i.e., don't know if it will eventually discolor and/or become brittle)---time will tell, but if they last a couple of years, then they're worth it to me because I can simply order another set for a relatively cheap price. The magnets are prone to rusting and may form rust spots on the garage door, so I applied 2 coats of matte clear coat (spray) to the magnets, hoping to avoid potential rusting---we'll see if it works. The clear coat does not affect the magnets' ability to "stick" to the steel garage door. The hinges look great, even close-up---I can't tell that they're "fake." After 10+ door cycles, the magnets have shown to be plenty strong enough to hold them in-place. Let emphasize that, the magnets have proven to hold the hardware in-place on my clean garage doors after 10+ door cycles. Got it? Read the description---the hardware is held in-place with magnets. So, if your garage door is not a material that a magnet "sticks" to, then this hardware is probably not the best option for you. So, before buying this set, try to put a magnet on your garage door to see if it "sticks" (e.g., use a fridge magnet or whatever magnet you have around the house). Got it? If your garage doors are steel and clean, and if a magnet "sticks" to it, then the magnets used to hold the hardware in-place are plenty strong enough. Got it? Based on this item's performance so far, I would buy this set again. We'll see how they perform over time in the sun.

I purchased these faux windows quite some time ago but just put them on my garage recently. The windows were easy to place - nice weight and thickness. I will be spraying a little sealer on them to both preserve and give them more of a glass effect. They are currently matte in appearance. I am pleased of the boost in look it gives to the plain garage door.

It’s easy to put them and looks really nice!! My garage door has been upgraded! Sizes are good for garage door. Highly recommended!
