I think it will do the job
The design appears to be exactly what I need - a single use emergency bivy that I hope to never have to use. And if I use it once and trash it, then it will be well worth the price. It was plenty roomy. I was able to open it up and then without much effort repack it in the carry bag. If you are looking for something to use over and over, this is not the one. If you are just looking for an emergency bivy to always have in your hiking pack with the hope of never using, then this appears to be a good product.

Seems good quality and useful ICE
I am supposed to receive a rebate, but not in return for a review. I purchased it to give to a homeless man who hangs around our neighborhood. Since I was giving it away and he needed to see how it was packed, etc., I only peeked in the little baggy, but didn't remove the product. With this in mind, I can't speak on much of it. The material seemed pretty durable. I have the Mylar blankets in my car now. However, these seem to be a much better product. They feel more durable than the Mylar film. I plan on ordering several more so there is one for each passenger (and the dog) in my car in case of an emergency, but hope not to need them.

Small and light to carry
Definitely the most useful tool in my camping gear as of the moment. I love how small and light it is so I won't have a hard time carrying it around. It makes me feel warm as well despite the light material. I wish it could maybe come in more colors though because I'd rather have a more low-key color.

Works perfectly!
A cousin of mine is a mountaineer, and he asked me if I can give him something useful during camping. I was thinking of giving him a butane burner, but it might not be safe especially if they're hiking and assuming it would be sunny, there might be a tendency that the butane can will blow up. So, I looked up for another item that would be very useful and handy. I came across the sleeping bags, but this bivy sack catches my attention the most. They are too small, and I don't think he will like it, but I bought it anyway. I was giggling when I gave it to him. He was curious and when he opened it he was amazed. He said it is very convenient and it will reduce the weight of the bag that he'll carry. The whistle is pretty loud too which is good, in case of an emergency. I hope there would be a variety of colors for us to pick. Nevertheless, it works perfectly.

Best for survival in your car, not the elements
I purchased this bivy as part of my emergency get home bag. I had just tested it on a 2-day hike to see if it would suffice as an emergency sleeping against the elements inside a tarp shelter. Night 1 was used at 70F down to 60F and worked fine until my skin made contact with the bivy walls. Night 2 rapidly went from 50F down to 32F. Same problems from the night before, but the biggest issue that the bivy sac captures condensation from your body heat and breath. The condensation then cools and pools. If you ever make contact with this moisture, it will sap your body heat. To conclude, this bag is good for preserving body heat inside another shelter, but I recommend you not rely on covering your head in it due to the condensation. I recommend using it solely for your car or home, but not as a replacement for a tent and sleeping bag. The material is thin enough that a couple nights of rolling around will wear and tear it open.

Wonderful!
On scale of 1 to 5, I would rate give you a 7!! My daughter was very pleased with the blanket. She does alot of hiking and loved that the emergency blanket was lightweight and small to carry in her backpack. As a mom, I am just glad that she will have it if she needs it. Thank you.
