I had a diabetic nutrition coach who taught me how to eyeball portions many years ago but I got way out of the habit of that as the years went. She showed me that it's okay to have the various food groups but it's just about how much we eat of them. These little portion control cups just arrived today and they've already been helping me. What would have been dinner eating cottage cheese and veggies while family enjoyed Chicken Alfredo, tonight ended up being a sensible portion of the carby pasta dish (the yellow carb container,) but paired with a little extra cooked chicken in the protein container, veggies measured out, and even a little portion of low sugar peaches. I put it all on a little plate and it looked colorful and delicious. Taste, variety, nutrition and no deprivation. I can do this!

Perfect size for portion control. I love that the colors are cordinated, which make them easy to use. They are sturdy and easy to clean.

I relocated and am still looking for my (incomplete) set of containers included in my BB 21-Day Fix kit many years ago. It’s still the same high quality PP same system. I’ll order more if needed. These do not leak, versatile for intended purpose and or eating out of or taking to go. Super easy to clean. For the foods I eat using 21-day fix, and that I don’t like greasy tomato based foods, these tubs don’t retain odors. I wash immediately after using to portion out food so my last set and this one too look brand new. I use no metal so there’s no chance of chemical leaching. I don’t put hot foods in them, I don’t store food in them. Can use for knick knacks. Lids stay on so it’s easy to use; doesn’t fight with my arthritic hands to open or close … I only use the lids when I nest them as they arrive when delivered to keep out dust. Good buy great value

First off, let me say that these containers don't come with any instructions. Read the description before you buy them people! If you're willing to spend another $30 you can buy the plan, or you can google it, it's all on there. My instructions are in the "insanity max30" eating plan, so I only had to buy these containers.If you didn't give these a try, and returned them right away, then don't write reviews. Containers ARE small, they're meant to measure food only, not to store food or eat out of them. They're not that small.For example, for breakfast I eat 2 fried eggs, 1cup of veggies, 1 cup of fruit, and 1/3 of an avocado with black coffee. That keeps me full for hours, even fuels my workouts(INSANITY)Lunch I'll eat 1 of each: carbs and lean meat to refuel after insanity.Snack- more veggies and some eggs or any proteinDinner- carb, protein, big salad with a dressing and a fruit.I've done insanity before with no weigh loss and it's probably because I was overeating. I'm 5'3" and about 150lbs. I eat very healthy, gave up sugar and creamy coffee. I'm doing another round of insanity now with this eating plan and already seeing results. I'll be back to update my review when I finish in August.PS containers are very high quality plastic. I love them. Thinking about buying another set for my hubby who's interested in doing it with me, but works out of town a lot.

I wanted to try out the 21 day fix method of eating without buying the full kit with DVDs and shakeology. This is a simple set of just the colored food containers. It doesn't have a booklet or eating plan with it. The containers are sturdier than I thought and stack easily for storage. they're a bit pricey considering they're just plastic, but Beach Body can charge that much because they own the unique system. I've seen knock off brands come out with heir own copycat containers for much cheaper since I bought these. While I can't speak for the quality of the "fake" containers, I can attest that these are the real deal and you can use them with 21 day fix.

Perfect portions is what I was looking for. I am doing max 30 and measuring food in measuring cups is time consuming, with these if it fits you have it right. There is no meal plan with this item you are buyin!!!. max 30 included this idea of containers in there meal program but did not come with them. You would be amazed at the difference of portioning made easy vs measuring every type of food. Yes these are on the spendy side but its around 60 if you buy the workout and meal planning on beachbody website , For the 21 day fix they come with the containersThey are Color coded to help. Veggie= green, fruit=purple, proteins=red, good carbs = yellow, healthy fats= blue, orange=seeds and dressings. Can not get any easier. You never really knew how much food you were over eating until you get this system. Max 30 says you should eat (if over 150lbs) 4 veggies, 3 fruits, 4 proteins, 3carbs, 1 healthy fat, 1 seed/dressing and 4 tsp of nut butters or oils. They use the container as measurement to equel 1 unit. So four green container of veggies per day. If under 150lbs decrease veggie fruit carb and protien by one. They say you should eat up to five times per day and spread out your recommended amounts as you see fit. Really hope this helps. I know reviews are bad sometimes but I think this system makes so much sense and made meal prep easier hopefully eventually I can see the amount of any food and be able to say "thats the perfect portion"

I love this diet. Better than any diet I have ever been on. These cups really do the trick for me. I have always had trouble with calculating portion sizes. If I don't get it exactly right that's when I seem to run into difficulty. with these cups. I have no problem. I find that I am NOT hungry. In fact the opposite to much food to consume in a day. I think that is really interesting because when I first opened the package I though they were so small and I would starve to death. But quite the opposite. Autumn has a wonderful book with a small but very healthy list of foods to eat. When I say small that's in comparison to Nutri System or Jenny Craig's food list. Her choices work together like Nutri System or Jenny Craig. They are all foods I like to eat. I am able to combine them for maximizing my weight loss. I find that I have no cravings and I feel fuller longer. I don't even miss eating. It's like all diets you have to follow them in order to get the maximum results. What I like about this one. I am able to shop in the grocery store. I can use my coupons to SAVE MONEY. I am basically buying fresh vegetables and fruits. I am eating better than I have in a long time. I also purchased my Chef Ming Pressure cooker and it's the first of 3 cookers that actually works. It is WONDERFUL. So is his 1300 Watt blender. I have fresh chicken breast that I cook with fresh carrots, mushrooms, and small potatoes. I can whip up my Complete shakes from Juice plus. All set. I have no idea what the chemo did to my system.as I am a breast cancer survivor. Twice now. your nutrition is very important part of your health.
