I love this family bible. I have wanted one for years and love the pictures the literature is delightful the cover looks old world. I love it!!

It’s BEAUTIFUL!!! The design is 3d for anyone wondering, it’s a decent size for a Bible too! The pictures are lovely and the paper isn’t usual Bible paper it’s fairly thick! The writing isn’t as bold; I would say it’s your standard size though! God bless anyone who reads this!

Beautiful book, incredibly high quality cover and binding. The illustrations are gorgeous. The Bible itself is much larger than I expected! I was pleasantly surprised by how big it was. This is the King James not New King James! It is titled appropriately and they are selling exactly what they are stating. If you have difficulty reading this version then it is not for you. Otherwise it's perfect.

beautiful book. havent got to explore much of it but the illustration is nice feels decently made. although I was nervous on arrival as it was not shipped in any type of packing. Just in an Amazon bag. highly disappointed. lucky the corners took minimal damage. and everything looks OK for the most part. the gold edge pages on the bottom took a nice scuffed across it. doesn't look so pretty but it's still gold. love the first part of the book. gives pages to fill in family tree as it is a family bible type to be passed down.

An amazing beautiful Bible! We get to share the word of God with great price fast shipping all the chapters and more needed to get closer to God highly recommend this Bible but even more so I highly recommend Jesus Christ our lord and savior in Jesus name amen 🙏🏼

First off it came a day early. Second I am an antique KJV Bible collector and so far this is absolutely the most beautiful cover out of all my antiques. Touching it was inspiring as you feel the grain and the texture. The cover looks to be very Old English. The inside is gorgeous with the loaded extensive amount of very pristine pictures throughout that tell the immense details of every story. And what i love is that this Bible can be displayed or read!!! The font size is small but readable. But here is another feature that I love!!! The gold gilded pages are the ABSOLUTE INDISPUTABLE NO ARGUMENT BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN HANDS DOWN. The gold inlay of the pages look like a large gold block in your hands. The pages need to be flipped to get it loose but the gilding is spot on!!! The size is medium size to read in bed or at a table. And finally the gold ribbon is very nice and a good satin finish. Barnes and Nobles did an excellent job publishing this Bible. I even compared the scriptures to ensure it is authentic KJV and yes!!! Even the binding is pristine with upper and lower raised hubs and continual design. This Bible gives you the feel of Roman Old English charm with the age look of this Bible. The book is impressive at first glance. Hefty, solid, beautiful cover and binding! However, some issues are present. First the PROS: Beautiful detailing on the binding front, back, and backside with embossed 'celtic" weave intricacies and red and gold detailing. The book can lay open without tweaking the backing It is an inheritance Bible in that it has front pages with entries for births, family, grandparents, great grandparents, wedding entries, etc. It appears to be a generational Bible and would be amazing as an heirloom. Beautiful gold leafing on sides top and bottom. Over 200+ illustrations by Gustav Dore, famous etching artist known for his prolific Bible illustrations. Good quality paper, natural white, and thick enough so as not to see through like some Bibles. CONS: text is a bit smaller than I would have liked. Yet I can still read it with my 175 strength glasses. Would have been better if it was 10 or 12 pica size. Not red letter edition No glossary Not NKJ as advertised I asked the seller if this was New King James Version and the response was "yes" so I ordered it. However, it is not the NKJ. It is full of "thee", "thou", "thine", "ye" and all of the outdated vernacular as the old King James Version. Inspite of the mild complaints, the Bible is an excellent heritage Bible and displays beautifully as a respectable literature and well made book (Barns and Noble publication). It would make an excellent gift for sure. It is not a study or learning Bible, but rather a collector edition that still would work as a practical reader's copy. I'm glad I made the purchase but gave it 4.5 stars because of the misinformation by the seller on the version. It should say it is regular King James and not "NKJ". Be there as it may, as an old King James version, it goes well with the artwork from the 1800s. See photos.
