Jet Li is an Amazing Person
A big fan of Jet Li, as many are, I wanted to see his most recent movie. I found a dozen movies or so and chose "Martial Arts of Shaolin" to watch with Prime. I watched the entire film. Many people train in martial arts, and it is pretty amazing when someone can outshine most of the best. Jet Li has. As far as plot goes, it may be hard to follow, and scenes change quickly, yet it is there. A brother and sister are separated from birth by an emperor who took the life of their parents; they seek revenge. Out of about forty martial arts movies, most from the 70's, this movie and "Shaolin Deadly Kicks" have been the best I have seen so far. A movie like this one carries its value, even if the sound effects may not be 'dead on' and can sometimes be annoying, it is the hand-to-hand, artistic motion that can set a film of this nature apart from other movies similar [to it, (the movie)].And, though it's most famous in "Star Wars" films, the 'force' can be seen as a real form of energy used to protect humans from evil. Though invisible, the force, or what is sometimes referred to as 'Budha,' is utilized by adversaries - in one scene neither combatant delivers a single physical blow, both have ability to use Budha, and one wins. A person could watch a hundred of these movies and not really notice the use of real, unseen force, or Budha; such a notion is presented with ease in this film.Hats of to Jet Li, always. One thing that was part of the plot, the ending. If anyone would like to mention their opinion on which monk should have kept the ankles bells, feel free to voice your literary opinion. One thing I noticed, the man who gets the girl in the end lies to marry in order for the monk to avoid marriage. Though the monk could have married, he chose not to.I enjoyed watching this movie and hope you do, too.

Jet Li Martial Arts Kung Fu Masterpiece! English Dubbed
I really like how the movie pulled in Kung Fu styles from North and South China. I think I even saw Wing Chun on the rafts which is even more authentic since it was developed for fighting on boats. The acting was good and it's entertaining and funny at key moments. Jet Li really was fantastic. This movie makes me want to revisit some of his movies and the Shaolin type movies again. It is mostly realistic compared to some of the others who have people running on water.

Finally a good release of this movie
I am an avid collector of Jet Li movies. I own all Jets martial art movies that he plays a major role in (not just like a 10 minute cameo)I owned the beverly wilshire version of the movie which has horrible picture and some of the subtitles are cut off, yet I still enjoyed the movie. Finally dragon dynasty has released this movie with wonderful picture and removable subtitles which make this movie even better. The action in this movie is incredible with fight scenes with like fifty guys. Even though the shaolin temple movies are Jets oldest movies they are some of his best. (Shaolin temple one and two were Jets first two movies and martial arts of shaolin was his 4th movie following born to defence) Make sure you buy the dragon dynasty version if you get this movie

Kung Fu Chi
Martial Arts of Shaolin starring Jet Li, features Northern Shaolin and Southern Shaolin styles, demonstrating Kung Fu discipline and focus. Southern style Kung Fu & Tai Chi Cheung is clearly illustrated to the audience through a river battle sequence. I like the film.

I love Kung-Fu movies
Great action, great fight scenes, skillful actors. The plots tend to always be the same (avenging a murdered master, rescuing a kidnapped girl, challenging a drug lord, etc….). But I watch them for the great choreographed fight scenes.

This movie hit the spot! Loved it. Great martial arts from front to back. Jet Li is very young. Will probably watch again soon.

Not an outstanding story, but a decent one, and the kung fu action is realistic and first rate. I will watch this again. This one features a young Jet Li. :-)
