Works fine, super quiet
Just got it installed and wired. I bought this one because it has four PCIe plugs, seven SATA connections, even has 3 old school IDE connectors. The cabling is wrapped nicely in black mesh, which I didn't expect from a budget unit. It isn't modular, but the wiring is more than long enough for my mid ATX tower. Some ppl said the wiring is too short?? I have a mid tower and I had to curl amd toe back most of it. I guess maybe a full size tower would need creative routing and component placement, but the wiring on this unit is a little longer than standard. I've built many systems- some mine and quite a few for friends and such. These are standard length if not a bit longer. It's hard to find a PSU with more than 4 or 5 SATA connectors for less than 100$. This has 7. I have 5 HDD and 2 DVD writers so I need at least 7 without a hub. I can't hear ot at all. I only hear my case fans and the CPU fan. So far, I'm very happy with it. It is puttimg out nominally about 550W but specs say it can peak short bursts of over 850. IDK about that, I've icky had it for a few hours. Very happy with this purchase. Price is phenomenal for 800W with this many connectors.

So far, so good?
It's really hard to write a review for a power supply. It kind of works or it doesn't. I'll admit that I was really feeling the budget crunch when I bought this power supply (Appevia ATX-PR800). I just couldn't swing another $120-$150 for a better known brand. So, I bought the 3-year warranty for $65. Honestly if you get three years out of it it's probably worth it, right? It's a good, solid unit. It is absolutely silent. It has no problem running a mid-high gaming PC based on a 9700K and 1600 Super. For the price it is certainly worth stating that it's gold-certified, so it shouldn't waste power and kill more trees than others. Hey, we should all think of these things, we only have this one planet. It does not have flat cables which I think is a preferred thing now, but what it has is well sleeved and won't cut on a sharp case edge. Perfectly fine. It is not modular, so you have to tuck away those cables that aren't used (I have a rather huge old Lian Li case I still use, so it wasn't a problem for me). Other than the fact that it's so quiet I had to check to see if the fan was spinning it's hard to judge. The only real way to do it is wait and see if it lasts. Considering I'm probably pulling well less that 400 watts from it, I suspect it will be fine. Recommended for those of us on a budget.

Great service and quality product.
Apevia ATX-PR800W Prestige 800W 80+ Gold Certified, RoHS Compliance, Active PFC ATX Gaming Pow... Bought 6 months ago and was working perfectly until the fan gave out. I don't fault the company as manufacture defects just happen. They answered the phone and sent me to the right person in under 2 minutes. I didn't have to go through a dumb trouble shooting work flow. I told them what happened and what I did to resolve the issue before I called. They gave me clear instructions and 20 minutes later the warrant process was complete. Replacement is shipped in less than 24 hours and even after offering to return the faulty product they declined. Pretty straight forward and fast as every good company should do. Thanks!

This 800w 80+ Gold Certified Non-Modular PSU is great at a low cost for PC or BTC Mining.
Great product here for its price range for an 80+ Gold Certified 800w PSU. I bought this PSU for BTC Mining. This will let me hook up 6(six) GPU's as long as each one uses around 100w each. 4(four) GPU's via the 2(two) PCIe rails and 2(two) GPU's the 1(one) CPU rail. As per the photo(from the PSU Manual), you'll see this PSU(800w) has 2(two) +12VDC rails that have 2(two) 6+2 pins each, thus 4(four) total 6+2 pins to use for GPU's. This PSU also has 1(one) +12VDC CPU rail that has 2(two) 4+4 pin connectors, thus you can hook up to a MB that need 3(three) 4pin connectors for the CPU if needed. The older versions of the Apevia PSU's only had 1(one) 4+4 pin for the CPU. I know because my older Apevia 1000W 80+ Gold PSU only came with 1(one) 4+4 pin CPU connector. I have the old Apevia 1000W 80+ Gold PSU running some GPU's for mining and it is holding up awesomely. I plan on buying another Apevia 80+ Gold Certified 800w PSU down the road.

DOA out of the box. I'd expect more from a 'certified Gold' rating...
I received what clearly looked to be an 'open box'/previously returned item - particularly considering the excessive wear on the exterior packaging/lack of what's typically been included among other PSUs I've purchased, i.e. electrostatic sleeves and other accessories. ...And i might have even been ok with that had the power supply actually worked. After first pulling apart the computer, and triple-checking that all connections were seated properly - this PSU produced not even a trickle of power. To further confirm that it was indeed DOA - I used a tester to confirm this was the case. I'd expect substantially more from a product that a) Seems to garner such a high number of positive reviews b) is advertised as new, and c) Claims to be 'certified Gold' - which if true, and the certification authority isn't some complete fiction - provide a reasonable guarrantee that a product would not be DOA - and in fact, operate at higher tier efficiency/reliability. At the very least, this 'certification' or this manufacturers integrity should be scrutinized as to whether they should be permitted to continue advertising this as 'Certified Gold' - and it follows, allowed to continue selling this product via Amazon.

This PSU is working fine for now and is not affecting performance. The only issue I had with installation was the wire management. The unit is disorganized.

Both my power supplies just randomly got fried in a month's time. Highly unrecommended

I recently purchased this 800W PSU labeled as "Gold Certified" during a Prime Day sale, hoping to snag a good deal for my new PC build. As I dove into the installation process and started using it, I encountered a few issues that I'd like to share. To start, the PSU is not modular, as clearly indicated in the product listing and images. This was not a major concern for me, as my choice of PC case made wire management relatively easy. However, my excitement soon turned to disappointment when I began encountering two significant problems with this power supply. Firstly, my PC would unexpectedly shut down during gaming sessions, which led to frustrating troubleshooting attempts. The issue was elusive and difficult to pinpoint, causing a great deal of inconvenience. The second, and far more concerning problem, was related to the power cord supplied with the PSU. This cord would become alarmingly hot to the touch, not just warm but almost burning when I was playing graphically demanding games. This raised immediate red flags for me, and I was worried about potential safety hazards. This is when I knew it was the PSU causing me issues. Thankfully, I acted quickly to address these issues. I replaced the PSU power cord with a 6-year-old one I had on hand. Not only did this stop the power cord from overheating, but it also resolved the unexpected PC shutdowns. The product itself is not bad but I'm afraid with the quality control I've seen makes it impossible for me to give this product more than a two-star. When building a new pc or changing parts/upgrading, the last thing you want is to burn out expensive pieces. In hindsight, I realize I should have invested a bit more in a higher-quality PSU to match the top-tier components of my PC build. Cheaping out on the power supply unit not only caused inconveniences but also potentially put my entire system at risk. This experience serves as a valuable lesson in the importance of selecting a reliable and well-regarded PSU to ensure the stability and safety of your PC setup.
