Kenyon B70400 Texan All Seasons Built-In Electric Grill

I installed this grill in my backyard, because I wanted to reduce my carbon emissions. I could not be happier. It is so easy to use -- just turn it on and cook. The griddle surfaces are non-stick and dishwasher safe. It does not get as hot as a gas grill, but since I mostly grill vegetables and fish, it is plenty hot enough. The surface is large enough to gook for six, but might not be enough for a big party. I did need to buy a cover to keep the grill and control panel out of the sun, since I live in AZ where it is very hot. I have been using it for a few months, and no issues so far. Let's see how it is in a year or two. Be aware that you will have to run a 220 line to wherever the grill is installed, which is an additional expense. Update after a year or two of use: It is still going strong and I still love it. One thing to be aware of. If it gets too hot, the electronics shut down and you can’t turn the grill on until they cool. In Arizona in the summer this is an issue. I solved it by using a grill cover that covers the control panel. It works on all but the hottest days, and who wants to grill then anyway? I am building an arbor over the grill that will help keep the whole area cooler.

So far I love the grill. We use it on our patio on Miami Beach. It’s almost smokeless. We live on the beach and have corrosion problems with everything that is not plastic. Hopefully this will be the grill that won't rust. I talked to Kenyon before I ordered it. They promised me a lifetime warranty when it came to corrosion. If it would ever corrode they would send me a new one. One is enough. So please don't corrode. We didn't have 240 volts on the patio from the beginning. We called an electrician to rewire it. It took him half a day and a a couple of hundred dollars. Worth every penny. Update. 2020 Several years later the grill looks almost brand new. No corrosion what so ever. I bought a table for the grill from a different brand. The table has corroded but not the grill. I can definitely recommend the grill.

This grille has a lot to live up to. It mostly does. It was the only one that I could find that’s UL listed, had a warranty, didn’t require venting, and was essentially smokeless. Well it’s not exactly smokeless , and while there’s less clean up it’s not without the need to clean. Depending on what you are cooking, how you marinade and prep, this will effect how much smoke and clean up you have.

Excellent option where charcoal and propane grills are prohibited. The drip pans are marked “HFA367” and are cheaply available from AMZ. Will update on the required electrical components to have an attractive connection that meets code. If left on there own most electricians will leave you an ugly connection with ampacity far greater than necessary.

This grill is awesome! You won’t regret the money spent.

Purchased May 22, 2020 with three year warranty. Used less than 30 times and died just after warranty expired. Expensive grill that should have a much longer lifespan.

Wow! We love this grill for our new outdoor kitchen. We have grilled several times. Easy clean-up, no smoke, and nice looking.
